MemberOvomorph02/3/2012Wow, since The Thing by John Carpenter is my second favorite Sci-Fi Horror film, I thought I'd post something about this recent breaking news! I think that this year might be a big year for disclosure and I think it's fitting that Prometheus is being released this year!
"A group of Russian scientists plumbing the frozen Antarctic in search of a lake buried in ice for tens of millions of years have failed to respond to increasingly anxious U.S. colleagues -- and as the days creep by, the fate of the team remains unknown.
"No word from the ice for 5 days," Dr. John Priscu professor of Ecology at Montana State University, told FoxNews.com via email."

MemberOvomorph02/3/2012@GigerFace, Interesting article, and Antarctica is certainly one of the environments more hostile and hard around the world. On the other hand can reveal answers and scientific knowledge about life in extreme conditions, and who knows, about life on other planets.
To purpose, checks this article, about a case is just as interesting and that has not been clarified at all until today...

MemberOvomorph02/3/2012Actually this is very interesting, in terms of the drilling, they're using some fairly common oil drilling practices there in terms of hole balancing etc, but i was hoping that they would be using the NASA derived stuff discussed a few years back to do this. Was supposed to be a test for the technology they would send to titan or europa, so as not to contaminate an untouched environment with outside biology or chemicals.

MemberOvomorph02/3/2012@Shambhala, wow I'd never heard about this incident! Hmmm, "compelling unknown force"?! WTF is that suppose to mean lol?! And those strange orange orbs that were reported sighted near their camp?! Not to mention the radioactive factor! Yeah, I really wish the world governments would give us normal citizens the benefit of doubt and that they start doing some disclosure. I wish they'd stop being like parents and treating us like kids by sending us to our rooms when adults are talking lol. And @Tec-B, I agree, why didn't they attempt to incorporate some of that tech into the drilling?! The whole thing smells of shenanigans!

MemberOvomorph02/3/2012There is also the myth of Agartha and the travels of Admiral Richard E. Byrd, who allegedly piloted the plane through the poles of Antarctica have made contact with intraterrestrial beings, but in general the hollow Earth theory this totally rejected by the scientific community the lack of empirical evidence. But when I see The Thing by John Carpenter can not stop thinking about these kinds of mysteries...
