Today it was The Huffington Post's chance to ask him a few questions about his current projects, including Prometheus.
Luckily the Huff Post already know how secretive the project is, so they didn't waste any time asking any questions they know they wouldn't get an answer to. Instead they ask why it's been such a huge secret.
"I have to be honest, this particular film -- Twentieth Century Fox and Ridley Scott have been very, very diligent about keeping a lid on it. But, I know exactly why -- because the film depends on that. It needs that. It needs you to not know
Because it's a shocker, isn't it? It's a shocker and the anticipation of a great filmmaker like Ridley Scott is part of the draw. Like, what is he going to do next? What's that about? And the more he cloaks it in, 'There's something I can't tell you yet,' it makes it more intriguing. And anyone that has that shortcut, 'Well, I heard it was this,' it's cheating."

When asked if this secret he knows about Prometheus will blow our minds when we find out he simply replies:
"Yes"
One can only imagine what 'Alien' would have been like if everyone knew all of its shocking moments before it was released in 1979. Apparently, there was a lot of security around the set back then too. Some say Ridley Scott kept H.R. Giger hidden away from the rest of the crew while he was working on the alien designs, and fans will know the famous 'chestburster' scene was kept under wraps during most of the production.
More I hear the actors talk about it, the more I think this is going to blow our minds!

MemberOvomorph02/16/2012Great post Theusprom! I love it. Keep as much of the story as quiet as possible. It drives me nuts but that is half the fun. The wait and not knowing.

MemberOvomorph02/17/2012Interesting theory...would fit with Riddles' musings that perhaps the Xenos are "gods of war" from a while back...(actually, I think he said they CAN'T be because "Mars is too close", or something...but, still a fairly original idea! ;P
