How does Prometheus fit into your summer?

Work, Renovation, More Work, More Renovation, squeezing a few house purchases in between.....somewhere, More Work, More Renovation, Slave Drive my kids this summer during renovation, Rent more houses out, Wash, Rinse, Repeat. (In Ruh's Case Fire one up). On that weekend I am camping at the IMAX Theater :P

I'm just hoping I'll be able to afford the gas it'll take to get to the theater.

Right now, along with my 50th Birthday bash June 15th, it is the focal point of it !!!

and don't worry Rick, if neccessary I will send a Limo to take you to the theater.

Do you guys from the good USA still have drive in cinemas over there because that's something us Brits never have had . It would be really cool to go to one of those i think , i guess living in England the weather is so abysmal most of the time it just doesn't lend itself to the practicalities of a drive in . shame though I think it would really take off here .

I'm free =)) @alteredstate, I got a drive-in not too far. Unless you like your movies faded, and if your cars speakers are not in tip top shape, its better paying the difference and snuggling up at the closer cinema with sharper projection, Dolby Digital (or something similar) and truly getting the best out of the movie. One thing about the drive-in though, you might a quick fright from one of crack heads popping around begging for change. =|

How do you connect the sound in to your car speakers i never knew that.

They have a designated frequency they are broadcasting on and you tune to that in your car.

I assumed that you had a 60k sound system and you had your convertible roof down or the windows wound down lol

i'm seriously thinking of getting a tattoo this summer possibly a giger design or maybe that prometheus head but where to have it thats the hard part possibly the left buttock but a giant male head may raise questions lol

Prometheus premieres on my sisters 18th, so we're going to see it :)

I'm driving 40 miles to town, to the movie theater. I'm not missing this, if I have to walk.

For me Prometheus comes out on the first day of summer vacation. Awsome right !!!

The big 5 ..0 for myself also at the end of the summer.. i just hope the stanley Cup final game is not on june 8 , but then again, i can have two big events happing on this day , just need take the day off work in the afternoon. Hmmm, never been to the movies in the afternoon.

It'll be out in winter here. I'm hoping to have met someone that likes these kind of movies as much as I do to take along. And I'll probably see it a few times in a row at the cinema :-P

I don't deal well with heat. In winter I like getting my long leather coat and my long pants out. Hides the chicken legs :-P

I'm diabetic, so I don't really drink much at all...... Maybe I should start working out more..... I already do, but I have a problem with my hip that doesn't let me move around as well as I'd like.....

Don`t feel bad about it , `l`ve been a type1 Diabetic for the last 42 years and l`m fine ... for matter of fact l`m more heathier than most of the lazy basterds i work with .. all about balance in life and no stress

i hear ya NCC, im turning big 4 zero a few weeks before uk premiere, im currently in brazil working 5 months now and cant wait to see my family and friends i really hope to have the time off around release, otherwise i will be releasing myself from "the company" twas 20 yrs now since i saw Aien 3, totally stoked, ridders tell me youve pulled all the stops..

i will be in school the day it comes out, so midnight showing for me :'(

There's other things going on this summer other than Prometheus? I think I heard something about some new movie with The Hulk or Iron Man or something, I'll have to check into that.

I think we should start an "Occupy" movement and sleep in the theater on June 8th at midnight. Get our 20 dollars worth of the movie. Be nice if they had an Alien marathon at the theater...and played all the films all day...

Well for me, my wife and kid are going to Chicago to see her mom after her school year is over. She said that she will be gone for 3 to 4 weeks, so that's when my vacation starts LOL. Clean the house and do yard work. Enjoy the weather. @alteredstate, there is a drive-in close to us. I absolutely love it. It is great to go to see some movies that you would like to see, but don't want to pay a lot to go see them. They play 2 different movies and then on the weekends, they play the first movie again after the second movie. You could stay up till 4 or 5 in the morning. The wife and I had a hard time picking a movie in September because we had seen everything. Just try not to see a "dark movie". Its hard to watch. A great experience.

I live near the University of Illinois, basically campus town. I have a movie theater within 5 blocks of my house and another one 5 minutes away. No doubt I will be going to see Prometheus at 12:00 am. Just saw a Prometheus 3D cardboard cutout after walking out of Act of Valor tonight. So pumped. I wish I had a IMAX near me. GOD that would be epic. The nearest IMAX is about an hour and half away from my hometown in Indianapolis.

dont worry cricket fans the ashes series is in 2013 not this year we are only playing them in some one dayers this year so only the olympics and diamond jubilee to worry about.

Olympics!!! 26 million people chasing 1 million tickets!!! mostly trying to watch 7 men chase Usain Bolt!! and loads of empty seats in the stadium....'cos they won't let anyone have any I wonder if we'll have to bid for prometheus tickets!!!....See I kept it topical!!

@ Bigbirdjimmy yeah i always fancied going to a drive in but we dont do them here in the uk. I think it was grease that fascinated me with those.

June will be a great month. Going to see Roger Waters 'The Wall' and Prometheus. I expect both to take me on a visceral mind-bending journey.

@alien dna, working in Guarapare an hour drive south of Vittoria, should be home in time to see it. certainly dont want to see it in spanish..LOL

Sometimes they get our movies there in English with Portuguese subtitles. I saw Blindness at the cinema while I was in Fortaleza, and that was in English with subtitles, which I always thought was funny because the director is Brazilian and the original novelist is Portuguese. In that case if you end up stuck there for the opening there's a chance it could be in English, although you might be hard pressed to find it in 3-D. I hope everything works out the way you want it to.

We need to reserve a theater for everyone in this forum. Although what movie theater fits 2500 people? hmmmmm

@Ripley Clone 8 you may have hit on something there? If comedians can fill stadiums with 10,000+ fans I'm sure a forward thinking movie studio could come up with a venue! They'd fill it with eager prometheus accolites. If I was a PR guy I'd push for an Alien Fest, culminating with the premier of Prometheus,how cool would that be? assuming it is an Alien prequel? But lets not go there!!! eh.....repeat thread and all that!!! Ha Ha
