MemberOvomorphFeb-27-2012 9:50 AM101 days, to be precise. But, I share your excitement. There's no other more interesting movie than Prometheus coming this year, and honestly I've never been this excited for an upcoming movie in my life.
Well, there is The Dark Knight Rising, which I'm sure will be good, but Prometheus has a tighter grip on me.

MemberOvomorphFeb-27-2012 10:06 AMI agree, I haven't had this kind of anticipation for a movie in a long long time. I've pretty much been disappointed by so many films over the years I'd shut myself down. There has been some good ones here and there but none have made me join a site like this and count down the days like obsessed madman.

MemberOvomorphFeb-27-2012 10:29 AMI share the excitement of this forum. The last movie I geeked out over was "Cloverfeild" and while it was technically a marvel (tracking the handheld for CGI), I was disappointed overall. And the creature itself was a weak concept for an american "Godzilla".
Before that, it was probably ID4. That was fun.
But nothing has sparked my interest like this movie... ever. Partly due to the nostalgic factor, partly due to the vision being Ridley's again, and largely due to this site! My wife is sick of me bringing it up all the time! I must be doing something right!

Ya' know, WOTW just didn't get me goin'... Should have, but it just didn't.
Maybe knowing Speilberg's take wouldn't be dark enough for me was part of it.

MemberOvomorphFeb-27-2012 11:23 AM94 days for me as i'm in the UK. Hopefully will be attending a midnight viewing and will be posting a spoiler free review afterwards. I really hope the rumors about Prometheus being 3 hours long are true, like Ridley said, it's gonna be epic!

MemberTrilobiteFeb-27-2012 11:39 AM@ DB - You know I find it strange that if you take elements of the original film and elements of the Speilbergs you would have an almost perfect adaptation of the novel.
