I would say aside from the Prometheus tie, he also plugs in "Blade Runner", which we know from what Scott said takes place within the same universe as Prometheus. So, he and the Prometheus gets lost some where in time or in Zeta Raticuli and at the same time, their Clone's...Cybernetic creations run a muck as well....which we might say that Blade Runner takes place during the events of Prometheus...so much to think about.

Well the artificial humanoids in blade runner, from memory, did not know they were synthetic until they were told. Memories of growing up, family etc were implanted. They went AWOL after finding out and ran amok. If we remember Call, in Alien 4, had joined a group of AWOL Synthetics who found out about Ripley being Cloned (Alien Queen and all) and is sent in to neutralise the situation. I think there is some conection there. Interesting.....

I can see the disappearance of the "Prometheus", the malfunctions and Weyland missing causing quite a stir back on earth...

A bit of Blade Runner in Prometheus? I don't see how that's such a bad idea. Already there's going to be a theme about David, the android, being part of the whole deal with "What are our origins?" and for an android to put his/her take on it would be interesting to those willing to lend an ear (metaphorically-speaking). However, let's not get too confused with the different definitions......a cybernetic individual is a human, grafted with mechanical parts, thereby making him a "cyborg". Crude example : Donald Rumsfeld could technically be a cyborg, all because he has a cochlear implant. But that's all he has; I wouldn't call him a cyborg unless he has exoskeletal elements grafted onto his body. And as such, an android is a machine, built to be like a person, and if all goes well technologically, that android can be totally indistinguishable from a human, especially if that android requires nutritional subsistence, or if that android is capable of genuine human feeling, consciousness, and perhaps even conscience. As for android blood, well, most Alien fans will reference white-colored blood.....well, blood-substitutes are a field being experimented with, and there are some recent fictitious representations of artificial blood. Oh, and as for Prometheus taking place at around the same time of Blade Runner? Who knows. Will we see the Tanhauser Gate that Roy mentioned? If we notice any references I'm sure they'll be mostly because Ridley Scott is the one helming Prometheus, and he may've thrown in Blade Runner references because Blade Runner was his. Directors do that sometimes (I think).
