MemberOvomorphMar-02-2012 4:19 PMThe cool thing about the alien xenomorph is that it's self-replicating. The Alien can turn a victim into an egg with a face-hugger inside and wait for another "Kane" to examine it and start the life-cycle all over again. Contrast this with Weyland's "Godly" creation - the cybernetic individual. It might be indistiguishable from a real person (until it bleeds) but it can't reproduce itself independent of human technology. I think that's what gives the SJ's an edge. The Alien weapon the Space Jockeys created can reproduce itself, but it doesn't discriminate creator from prey. Just look at what happened to our friend on LV-426
I suggest researching David from the bible for Prometheus' David's relationship to Peter Weyland and the Space Jockeys. Especially the story of David versus Goliath.
If I don't have my facts straight, please correct me.

MemberOvomorphMar-02-2012 6:03 PM-we dont know if there will be classic xenomorphs in the movie (almost surely not ) ..so we dont know how is the lifecycle of whatever creature is in
-we dont know if "monsters" are created by the SJ ...we dont know how and why that SJ is dead .So we dont know if the "monsters" can discriminate friends and foes .
So we can miss two important steps in your assumption .
for now we know "as a fact" that Peter Weylandt is a man of infinite ambition ...

MemberOvomorphMar-02-2012 6:24 PMI agree with you @Frantz, I am making some big assumptions here. We won't know until the movie is released what questions are answered if at all. I don't think there will be any Xenomorphs in the film either. I like to think that David does represent mankind's pinnacle of technological achievement. Weyland calls mankind "Gods". However, Weyland has yet to encounter the Space Jockey race and their creations, which will pale David by comparison.
