Two Different Spacesuits Worn By The Prometheus Crew?

I seem to remember hearing that there are 2 different crews in Prometheus and possibly 2 different planets so time may be staggered in this movie. In the trailer for Prometheus you see a ship entering the atmosphere of a steamy, humid looking planet. Is that LV 426? It sure looks different from the planet in aliens/alien. Perhaps the violent weather and barren look of LV 426 in Alien 1979 and the desolate landscape in the Prometheus trailer is due to some sort of cataclysm caused by the Prometheus crew.

I think the cataclysm you speak of was perhaps the new SJ creation experiment that did not complete and goes wrong somehow... But it looks like LV-426 before somthing goes wrong with it's atmosphere yeah... Or that is the correct environment for it's new life form either way the dots join on this. 2 crews I think your right and there will be a rendevouz where things get nasy thats the point the guns come out under weylands orders ofcourse

on the left, are the suits worn on earth or wherever they find the ampule room, an the right are the new suits they have when on LV-426 and in the derelict. just my theory but from the trailer makes sense, but this leads me to a bigger and more important clue that i will make a new topic bout, this made me realize it so thanks :D

This was a topic covered in another thread.....but, given that I am having a hard time finding it myself and we still are waiting for the search function, I won't be locking this thread...... Incidentally.....I look at the multiple suits and see multiple trips to whatever establishment they find....Whereas, in 'Alien' you had one trip to the derelict, it ended badly and that was that.... Any chance that the other suit is an aquatic type, for deep sea diving. The temple or one of the alien locations could be underwater. Spain location shooting? Ridley rumored to research on underwater ecosystem?

I said this just now in another thread but I think a race is on for the discovery of humankinds origins... And when you show up at the creators door and are bickering and fighting it does not go down too well. is one a weyland suit and the other a yutani or weyland yutani?

Take a look at the different shots of the ampule rooms. Theres more than one giant head. In some shots it looks a lot bigger and there are a lot more ampules around it. I'm talking about the actual stills and not the promo art.

@ GreatBoosUP Yes I did. Did you have a look at the different shots of the ampule room? I admit the head has the exact ame features and cracks but the size and the room look different.
