Question, with Prometheus being 3D, have any of you upgraded your home equipment for viewing 3D Bluray movies? I went to see the last Underworld in 3D and was not impressed. Is 3D at home better quality? The theater stuff was real jerky. Did not like.

RH, Underworld in 3D just outright sucked. I don't know whats going on with the 3D movies lately but they've been horrible. Ghost Rider I wish I could get my money back. Only good thing was the 2D Prometheus Trailer on the big screen. Rick

I don't like 3D at home! Although Prometheus was filmed with 3D cameras like journey to the centre of the earth, so I suppose we'll have to see

3D makes me feel ill no matter what I watch it on. Big screen is worse however. I threw up watching Alice in Wonderland in the cinema in 3D.

Not crazy about 3D myself, but a few things to know. 3D is always better when filmed with 3D camera's as opposed to post production conversion. A great website to check is www.isitrealorfake3d.com. Another thing is dark scenes even when filmed in 3D doesn't tend to look very good. Unless the theater has made proper adjustments the film is usually darker than its 2D counter part.

Wow that sucks craigo....... @Cinefan I looked at that site a few weeks back, but in reality the human eye isn't made to view images in 3D at all. Which is why 3D stuff has pages and pages of warnings............ Bad for developing eyes too, which is why the 3DS is a bad idea for kids under a certain age. But thats what the world wants...... just watch when in 20 years people will be having to have surgery to fix the problems it causes..... Bad driving, no peripheral vision, lower depth perception....... The list goes on.....

I've barely even migrated onto Blu-Ray let alone anything else. Going to 3D now would make it seem like the world has changed too fast and would make me confused and angry.
