I dare say there will be...... After all, it's a planet with a rotation around it's sun, so you'd have to assume a day/night cycle...... Even if it isn't a 12 hour day/night like we're used to......

"Is it dead this time?" "I dunno, poke it with this stick and see."

I'll be very surprised if a night sequence on the surface isn't
featured - ample opportunity for some 'Great Scott' visuals surely?
Amongst all the talk of TED and codes, here's me ruminating on
celestial vistas - c'mon people, discuss more! It's a full-on sci-fi
space film as well! Must be the artist in me I s'pose.

Maybe we could build a fire, sing a couple of songs, huh? Why don't we try that? XD

On the subject of the night sky ...
i wondered just how significant 2023 was.
If you look here :
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solar_eclipse_of_April_20,_2023
Is the view of Earth very similar to the "About Us" page on the Weyland site ?
So, maybe April 20th this year will then become significant for the viral campaign associated with the movie ?
A little left of centre maybe, but who knows ?

If the planet is a desert with no cloud cover it will be freezing cold. I bet all the tense, claustrophobic scenes of them examining artifacts and making grave discoveries will happen while they are all locked inside for the night.
