surprisingly similar themes..ancient civilizations are actually ruled by aliens...aliens ruled as "gods" although a much different execution of these themes with the aliens being grays with big black eyes..however blue man is kind of greyish and his got big black eyes as well the movie was boring however and i dont recommend it...you dont even get to see the aliens

yes, "men in oxygen masks, rockets that looks like apollo" and so on. but i actually kind of liked it, but im also the only one i know who did. Not showing the aliens is a nice move i think. Btw do you remember signs by M. night? the alien at the end of that movie..... The film is great all the way....but then the CGI alien at the end ruins the experience. it "abducts" the mystery so to speak "ha".

i hate signs..i mean what they hell they are advanced enough to travel through space but water kills them? 90% of our planet is water..a humid day or a light shower would kill them... i thought fourth kind would be the quintessential alien movie..but there was no pay off..they had all these sequences to build suspense but the only thing that happens is we hear a scary voice..i was hoping for some flashback sequences..there was one but it was just all white light and some spinning metal tool...just wasnt enough take Fire in the Sky..now that was fucked up

I think it was fucked up what that poor woman went through. And they still have no idea where her daughter is to this day.

I hate aaaall M. Night movies. I was pissed that he did The Last Airbender. That guy's the biggest retard in Hollywood. Everything he does is crap.

yeah his movies are for the most part pieces of shit...sixth sense was laughable and gross....devil was horrible..signs was horrible...never saw the village but my friends tell me its horrible...last airbender was a huge flop although i think he made unbreakable which wasnt that bad..it was still kind of ridiculous

'Devil' wasn't even his.......he just produced that one. 'The Fourth Kind' was predictably disappointing in certain aspects, but it did get under my skin a little. The idea of that kind of helplessness...there's nothing more terrifying than that.

talk is cheap... i read an article about how no one could verify it and the producers were taking great liberty with the its a true story tagline

The fourth Kind was actually quite a good film. It was apparently based on a actual case in alaska and included various documented evidence throughout it. There was some nice thinking behind if not a rather creepy thought that our these aliens were rather evil and we were totally defenceless against them. hmm this isn't the 1st time I explaining films to people here ;p

meh its not for me..absolutly no payoff..i wanted to see flashbacks and the aliens not just some cheesy actor jumping out of his seat on the couch i think they didnt show the grays simply because of budget constraints

The fourth kind is made to feel real but it is a complete work of fiction no truth to it what so ever.... But has some pretty disturbing scenes in it a little scary or unhinged. I quite liked signs actually I think it's his best film (M Night Shaymalayan)
