MemberOvomorphMar-19-2012 11:41 AMIn the Narration during the beginning of the new trailer, Vickers says, "A king has his reign, and then he dies....It's inevitable." My question to those of you in the inner circle. Is Vickers a synthetic? If so is she referring to mankind, having given rise to synthetic life forms being obsolete. If not then is she making a statement regarding the engineer's, and possibly conjecturing regarding their absence since ancient times. I have to say that the various trailers are brilliant, having only seen 2:48 seconds, it looks like a lot of movie is going to be wrapped around that, wow!

MemberOvomorphMar-19-2012 11:55 AMThey make it look like she refers to the Engineers/Space jockeys, but I'm off opinion that this is intentional bluff or distraction from the real plot.
This could refer, for example, to Peter Weyland, who is theorised to be searching for Immortality there.
Many people who have worked on the movie have said that it's all about the Plot. So I really don't think they would reveal all the main plotlines in the Trailers... They are leading us off on purpose!

MemberOvomorphMar-19-2012 12:06 PMI agree, ridley is known for his coyness in the marketing campains for his movies, this is something he would do just to throw people off, and I can't blame him, after all this movie already has a huge cult following (including us) who are waiting to tear apart and analize every shred of information they get
