I have been giving this a lot of thought, is Shaw an android, or not totally human? Bear with me on this. I know a lot of people think Vickers is an android, and the leaked script seems to point to this. I just think that there are a lot of twists and turns to the plot that we have not seen yet. For one, why do we see Prometheus crash into the derelict? Is this not a massive spoiler? I think that crashing Prometheus into the derelict is not the end of the movie at all and there are bigger things to come after this. Otherwise, isn't it like showing us how the film concludes?
I like the idea of Shaw being an android, or not totally human as she has been presented as a character with strong religious beliefs. It also addresses the question of what it means to be alive, which fits Sir Ridley's "I come from the all-about-everything school?"

you are probably right thinking that the prometheus crash in not the end of the movie ....
i really dont think that shaw is an android ...there is really nothing that point to it .

MemberOvomorphMar-20-2012 5:55 PMI think if she was an android it would really play into the story arc of Bladerunner and is Deckard an android or isn't he? In Bladerunner Deckard had no idea he was an android hunting androids. In Prometheus, Shaw may think that she's the most "human" and find out somehow that's not totally true. Yes, it's highly unlikely, but I just loved the Deckard twist in Bladerunner:-)

MemberOvomorphMar-20-2012 6:01 PMNo, I can't believe Shaws an android. Scott wants her to be human so that the audience will connect and relate to her. Though there may be a surprise android in the bunch, Shaw isn't one. Consider too that she appears to be the one who discovers the link that starts the ball rolling for Wayland to sponser the trip.

MemberOvomorphMar-20-2012 6:41 PMShaw as in an android crossed my mind about 3 weeks ago. I just get this vibe that either she is or the other female character is. If not her, then I'm thinking the Black actor's character may be an android.

An injuried Shaw have massacred 32928 aliens ..saved alot of people ...almost managed to save the galaxy ..she enter in a last room limping badly ...and ...
and she find 3 buttons ...."you want red , green or blue explosions ?"
