What's worse than discovering your God is a mad scientist?

What's worse is they leave a little present for you before they go.

No worse, not a present, but the same disease they killed themselves with, and or possibly intended on testing on your mother!

We're taught that God has always been.....though learning about the deeper stuff about extraterrestrial life will compel you to think God, or at least He as we recognize Him as, is nothing more than a little grey alien.....and that these aliens have their own society, are mortal beings (don't last forever), that sort of stuff. If God was a mad scientist, well, at first that would sound funny, but the truth would be something not funny.

That God does not care, no emotion, just a catalyst. A being without meaning, or purpose to it's creations.

Not much worse than that lol. But as the saying goes absolute power corrupts absolutely. It's speculated that when a being's intellect reaches a high as onto god-like intelligence that emotions like caring and consequence are no longer of concern. An entity with galactic possibly universal creation skills would probably not be tethered to concepts such as right or wrong, good or bad, and would most likely do everything it does out of pure fascination and curiosity while applying cold logic. But @ArchEtech, I don't think they are dead, I just think they've moved on as it's a big universe out there for them to explore and play around creating things lol

If the Space Jockey is our absent father then Earth truly is Mother Earth. A seed sowed by the Space Jockey germinates in the womb that is Earth. This Space Jockey, this intergalactic mischief maker is not the true God. It is the Earth that sustains us and nourishes us, and therefore is the one true God. Perhaps the movie will reveal that in anticipation of finding God, we inadvertently arrive at the Devil instead.

God ...as whatever its ...is the first thing .... can be "nature" ...can be the christian God ...can be whatever you belive ... but a SJ cant be a God , can be only a scientist ..and probably a mad one . God , if there is one , is everything . Are different levels i think ...

I keep thinking, it's possible that the jockeys stopped coming to earth because they were dying off... and they came back because they reproduce asexually, using the dna of other species to propagate their own. This may be way some crew members seem to "transform" and why some of them appear to attack the rest of the crew... new genes aren't all that you inherit... but also genetic memories or consciousness, so the "new" jockeys continue what the old ones didn't finish. What if the fire that the Prometheus "steals" is actually the jockey DNA? I sort of feel like the saucer craft is the craft of the "gods" and the derelict craft is of a "lackey" species or a different one all together, with it's own goals (like reproduction).
