Are humans the "robots" of another being?

AE,
Whats more disturbing is our entire human existance is based on chemical and electrical impulses that are interpreted as data by our brain that then needs to relate these impulses to our reality "matrix" that in turn feeds are drive factor analysis thus bringing about motion that makes us do what we do everday. Einstein once said to do the same thing over and over again expecting different results equals insanity. I tend to agree. This is why I mix things up and consider variety the spice of life.
On a whole Ruh Level. What if we are all part of a program like the Matrix and we have control of a whole lot of nothing and are mere slaves to the impulses of our brains and thus feed the robots, energy devouring lifeforms or SJ's all the energy they need for EONS.
Hmm.....
Food for thought.
Regards,
Rick

Yes exactly. Robots aren't alive because they are programmed. Its impossible for a computer to be random. It's math. Math, at least how my brain works isn't random. You can simulate randomness but is something programmed truly random acting under its own free will? I'm sure science tries to disagree with me somewhere,
In any case, like you say, what if we are programmed? And in a way we are - DNA. how much free will do we have?
Stop it I have to sleep.

Its impossible for a computer to be random. Have to disagree with you there. with just a few variables a computer program can be entirely random, I know because I've done it.

I think we're a little too imperfect with little or no goals but our own to have been created. To me life just exploits the universe without the need of a touching hand. We seem to be the negative to everything else that isn't considered to be alive.

I think we're a little too imperfect with little or no goals except our own to have been created. Too me life just seems to exploit the rest of the universe through trial and error without a helping hand to tell it what is wrong or what is right. If anything I would like to consider life to be the negative of what we would consider to not be alive, an anomaly to the universe.

that was the whole concept of Bladerunner ...the only difference between the man and the replicant was the hope of an afterlife ..otherwise we are identical
without a soul ..an afterlife of some kind ..." all this moments will be lost like tears in the rain "
what i find silly is AI become self conscious ... a DNA replicant can have self consciouness ( because have a biological brain ) but is human ...something entirely sistetic will only do what is programmed to do ( smart or random or whatever ) but at the end will just "act" .

I don't like the term Artificial Intelligence, it would take a long, long time to create for no immediate, useful purpose.
Instead we need Vocational Intelligence, suited to a machines purpose, function and actions.

Thats philosophy its that Frantz, don't think we really want to open that can of worms eh (someone probably will though lol).

molecular computing. a machine could be made of many things
