MemberOvomorphMar-24-2012 12:29 AMI am not saying they are not eggs, but why would they store eggs next to the navigation system, considering it is a navigation station.

Alien DNA
MemberOvomorphMar-24-2012 12:33 AMWhy for snacking while you're navigating of course. Those Jockeys are big guys they must get pretty hungry while cruising the galaxy.

MemberOvomorphMar-24-2012 12:35 AMi don't think the objects pictured above are eggs, what does puzzle me is the
organic looking fleshy material that is right next to it, there is also a very large
collection of said substance on the sides of the structure that is depicted above

MemberOvomorphMar-24-2012 12:39 AMMy guess is that they are part of the biomechanic character of the ship and have no other signficance. But then again, if they are biomechanical, then they have at least some significance.

MemberOvomorphMar-24-2012 12:39 AMMaybe those are like the Jockey Race equivalent of memory cards. Each shape corresponds to different map system, more detailed version of the larger one activated by David. Or a prerecorded course coordinates for those super long flight.

MemberOvomorphMar-24-2012 12:41 AMIn the IMAX trailer what was the thing that slithered into the arm of space suit

MemberOvomorphMar-24-2012 12:42 AM@Alien DNA, good point. Now if they are Cadbury eggs,...Now that is a different story. Those damn things are delicious! So freakin good.

MemberOvomorphMar-24-2012 12:45 AMIMAX trailer at 33seconds a blue tentacle hits the window that shaw is looking throught

MemberOvomorphMar-24-2012 12:49 AM@Shambhala: I don't think those balls are eggs. I remember a screenshot where there is a SJ control panel with spherical sensors just like those...
@Bluehugger1: Either a monster different to what we have seen before in the ALIEN series or a mutated crew member... maybe Fifield...

MemberOvomorphMar-24-2012 12:49 AMI think that the blue tentacle is a cameo from James Cameron. Its a Na'vi tail. Lol

MemberOvomorphMar-24-2012 1:38 AMThis might be a better pic, NOT EGGS

...or maybe a zen rock garden.

MemberOvomorphMar-24-2012 2:12 AMWOW, thanks for the photo @Gigeresque, and thanks also @reffugee. Well after reading all the reviews I was very clear that there are eggs, it's probably navigational instruments or devices to store star charts.
PDD: LOL But yet I must say that resemble chicken eggs XP

MemberOvomorphMar-24-2012 3:18 AMThey look like the 'carpet' of eggs seen in Alien, but in miniature -
- 'big things have small beginnings'?

MemberOvomorphMar-24-2012 4:33 AMi think they look like eggs too. if they were, could be anything. proto face hugger eggs, eggs for one of the worm like creatures weve seen, if the ship is alive it could be the ships own eggs lol.
i still like the theory of them being a snack the best.
they look a bit elongated, reminds me of large snake eggs if anyone on here has seen them. i have a bunch of pet reptiles so ive seen pleanty o snake eggs.

MemberOvomorphMar-24-2012 4:41 AMthey remind me of snake eggs. i have quite a few pet reptiles and they do seem similar.

if they ARE eggs they could be proto face hugger eggs, the eggs for one of the many worm like creatures we have seen, if the ship is alive it could be her eggs... or my favorite theory that "alien dna" stated, a snack!! mmm wonder if they are pickled or boiled.... hope they arent "thousand year old eggs".

MemberOvomorphMar-24-2012 5:40 AMIf they are really eggs, then the Space Jockey must be one careless bunch of folks, lol. Especially if these eggs can hatch into our beloved Xenos...

MemberOvomorphMar-24-2012 9:47 AMThe egg things are also on the "telescope" facing the jockies head.
I may work for the company, but im really an OK guy.

Spacejockey18
MemberOvomorphMar-24-2012 11:20 AMMy guess is maybe they are small baby infants of the xeno or maybe this has nothing to do with the rest of the alien franchise except the space jockey no matter what Sir Ridley Scott says this is an alien prequel

MemberOvomorphMar-24-2012 2:17 PMIt's almost Easter, maybe The S/J's really LOVE to color Easter eggs!! MAYBE that's why they brought the humans to the planetoid, cause they were out of PAAZ easter egg coloring kits!! no? lol.

arcaneradio
MemberOvomorphMar-24-2012 7:24 PMMaybe they are eggs. Perhaps when they start out new and small they are lighter in color and darker as they grow. In truth since they hold the facehuggers they aren't really eggs. More like an barnacle where the creature can leave to reproduce.
