MemberOvomorphMar-26-2012 1:53 PMHiya....i may have worked it out how the eggs get on the Space Jockey ship. Anyway heres my hunch. In the latest trailer at 1:34 we see the android guy looking amazed at some kind of solid base with what appears to be organic material growing on it. Within the ship we have the large head with what appears to be containers on the ground in the same rows and spacings as the facehuggers eggs. In the trailer about half way through we here a female voice say "The heads changing"..........now heres my theory:
What if the solid metal material in the ship has the ability to turn organic after a specific genetic code has been entered into the ships computer or whatever it is? What if that code is missing, until WE.......the humans turn up and fill in the missing blank. This way there doesnt have to be an original queen alien to lay all the eggs because the gemetic sequence is input instead. So the code goes in then all the little pods turn organic,,,,,,,,complete with a little surprise inside "facehugger". The first facehugger of all time pops out, does its thing to the pilot, out comes a new breed of life like the very very first alien......but sadley that dies within the 30 years it takes for our Nostromo to appear on the galactic horizon. It would obviously die of starvation because LV-426 is hardly full of life to start with. So the facehugger that jumps onto Kane (Alien) is only the second one after the pods changed from metal to organic 30 years previously.
Anyway thats my theory. Thanks for reading.

MemberOvomorphMar-26-2012 2:02 PMI was just thinking about the blue mist/lazer that covers the tops of the eggs in the cave scene in alien. Do you think that the SJ's are in control of the eggs, keeping them in a stable condition until the line is broken. Or are they aware of the danger and are keeping people and others away. This would account for the first egg hatch toward a human? maybe after the SJ was inpregnated they contained them , and sent the messages to stay away ??? humm just are idea

MemberOvomorphMar-26-2012 2:06 PMIDK David pulls out whatever is in the urns. It doesn't look like it would be possible. However, what David is like getting a grin looking at the top of an urn you can see something moving. I think it is more of that infectious stuff that we've been seeing get on and infecting people. Just a thought...

MemberOvomorphMar-26-2012 2:13 PMMaybe the head changes into the Xeno picture we have seen. I could see a theory that the Ampules contain the biological matter to seed life after the Engineers have become extinct the process is started off by the humans and one of the starts to transform into an Engineer, Shaw being infected gives birth to the progentor to the Xenomorph who attacks one of the Engineers whom when molding with the Derelict Chair starts of a chain reaction which turns the Ampules into the facehuggers......

MemberOvomorphMar-26-2012 2:28 PMMetal pods turning organic and then we get Aliens. Ok if this is what Ridley Scott considers man searching for it's origins then we are all f**ked. This would be the worst movie of all time. Next!

MemberOvomorphMar-26-2012 5:54 PMI don't think this movie will have anything to do with the eggs on the derelict in Alien.
I think that's one reason they consider this not a prequel to Alien.

MemberOvomorphMar-26-2012 6:39 PMWhat happens to the head? If this is the same ship, so forth, then what happens to the head? Good plot idea brother.
Honestly someone could make a fortune on half the ideas in this forum.

MemberOvomorphMar-26-2012 8:23 PMthe shared 'alien DNA' of the two the films may simply be: we encounter things that use a little bit of our DNA to make themselves in both.
beyond that, i think you either believe it will be a direct prequel or else you believe the new creations in this film spread off in a different direction

MemberOvomorphMar-27-2012 2:48 AMI think head implies that humans were expected (or worshipped, although I doubt that one)

MemberOvomorphMar-27-2012 3:27 AMthe big head doesn't look like something a very advanced civilisation (or creators) would make, not this old fashioned way anyway.
