This may have been mentioned before but thought I would ask the question anyway, I wonder how, (if it indeed it will be identified in Prometheus), will the Alien eggs be explained going into the original Alien movie. In Alien the SJ clearly had the evidence that an Alien did in fact burst out of its chest which would suggest that if the SJ does become infected in Prometheus, it should be the Alien creature that we have all come to recognise that does the damage, would it then be a queen that bursts out if all these eggs have been laid....?????? The only other point I wanted to make is that Dallas, in the movie Alien, says "bones are bent outwards....." refereing to the SJ and that it has become fossilised, if the SJ is in a suit how can they be bones and the suit also becoming fossilised....

All assuming that we're on the same ship that we see in Alien, and that we're on LV426 at all, in Prometheus..

I would pay for just 5mins to see what the mystery of the suit has been. sooo many un-answered questions, so many more to come...

what are the chances of 2 of these ships crashing? I reckon it is indeed LV-426.

@Mark Cawley Thanks for that analogy. Two ships crashing...unlikely.

Did the ship in Alien actually crash, or was it landed because there was trouble on board...? I just re-watched Alien last night, but neglected to watch closely for those kinds of clues.

The ship in Alien was a Bomber wasn't it? Anyhow some Q's: 1. Are those supposed to be proper eggs? ... or just mini incubators? ... if they're proper eggs who the 'F' laid them, cos they are a wrong shape 2. That looks like a Queen up on the wall right, @1.35min (iTunes Trailer 2)? ... WTF is that doing there already if the SJ's are only supposed to be experimenting with Micro-organisms at the moment??? That would indicate that Xenomorphs exist NOW?, surely? Ridley also stated that this movie is held in a different Universe ... he keeps saying this ... therefore nowhere near our favourite 'Alien' in terms of proximity (ok, see #2, again) 3. There can't be only ONE SJ Spaceship? ... with their technology??? ... they planet hope don't they? ... therefore I reckon this is a different planet to LV-426 ... it's too smooth on the terrain surely Oh and I reckon (huge guess) Charlize Theron is also a robot ... why not? ... :) ... why would they only make Male bots with Weyland's technology?

It really needs to be LV 426 bc 2 crashes seem too unlikely and this needs to be an alien prequel IMO

@Gem]n[ Yes, I strongly believe that the Alien species exists in that universe prior to any of the events of the films. There will be no origin story here besides "the search for our beginning." I also believe we are seeing a different planet and alien ship than the one in Alien. Too many obvious design inconsistencies that I don't think Ridley Scott, of all people, would overlook. He knows people would pick up on them, as has already happened.
