How old are the SJ's?

I believe that the characters of the Engineers are PRECISELY crafted for this film as being tall and imposing with fully "HUMAN" heads because those are traits that are commonly assigned to the gods/aliens of human mythology. It will be very interesting to me if the murals depict the evolution of humans on earth; Neanderthal variations, etc.

They're as old as the script writers want them to be.

I.e most likely at least a couple of million years old, if we judge by how long the descendants of humans have been around. . .

The only ones we have seen so far seem like angsty teenagers.
