[b]Look behind the Human in the picture below. It look's like the Chestburster is being grabbed by some sort of claw.

[b]Look's uncomfortable, so much wriggling around.
[b]But it also looks like a really smooth snake with blood steins on it's skin. Do you think it's a Chestburster. Yes/No please tell me in the Comments/Replies below.[/b]

It has a thrashing tail and everything....forget the face behind it, thats probably someone rushing to the aid of the victim.......just focus on what is hanging from the ceiling of the pod......its just too much of a coincidence to be the shape of a chestburster without actually being one. Also its nice that they may be using Gigers original design of the temple from Dune as the temple in Prometheus.....could be something else.....but it sure does look like it......in another thread.

Doesn't everyone want to see some new creatures in Prometheus other than the same old Face huggers Xenomorphs and chestbursters?
Familiar is not as scary as unfamiliar.

MemberOvomorphMar-26-2012 3:45 PMI think they are writing in some kind of parasite, but yeah I bet it's unrelated to the larger plot. There's the "cut it off!" lament when noomi is clasping her hands together and there are a few scenes in which you can clearly see something moving under peoples skin (there's also that eye scene). I think that parasite is going to fill in for the chest burster with respect to satisfying the fans expecting shockingly disgusting scenes.

MemberOvomorphMar-26-2012 3:47 PMcrazy idea but maybe she by way of having that possible? chestbuster or what ever it is forced on her changes the genetics of the SJ's creation. Making them more organic, which could lead to the idea of why the mother gives birth to them later on in aliens, i know this isnt a Scott idea. But she seems alittle upset about something. If she is the first host? (also while in the trailer when shes praying you can hear. "cut it off , cut it off") Facehugger or just his suit ?

That was one of the primary delivery methods the original writers worked into getting the Alien into the human. They wanted the embryo being implanted to be like forced oral sodomy. They felt it lended uncomfortable tension to the movie, especially for heterosexual men.

MemberOvomorphMar-26-2012 3:56 PMI don't think he would have chosen to do a whole new movie with new aliens and a different story if he was okay with using face huggers and chestbursters as monsters again. I think he would have made the direct prequel to alien instead of this one.

MemberOvomorphMar-26-2012 4:15 PMI thought this was resolved allready. It's been C-sectioned out of Shaw and it's clearly still attached to her by its umbilical cord. It's hasn't got a tail, it's got several tentacles.
It's NOT a chestburster, it's some new thing we haven't seen before.

But seriously, I've read posts where people attempt to deny the twisted psychosexual [i][b]over[/b]tones[/i] of "Alien." Whatever.......... I think we're definitely in for a freak-show of beautifully shot, brilliantly realized, squirm in your seat, sci-fi horror. Scott hasn't shied away from [i]raising[/i] expectations for this movie, and I have a feeling that his confidence [i]isn't[/i] misplaced.

This thing is surgically removed through the abdomen, so its more likely to be a parasite with multiple tails - which quickly grows big amd slams one of its tails against the window of the door Shaw is looking through in the Imax trailer
