Rise and Fall of the Derelict... In a Screenplay

Looking at the other trailers this is what I deduce happens in one part of the film (screenplay style)... [u]INT ORRERY[/u] The Space Jockey activates the green glowing command console and the telescopic seat rises up from the centre of the platform. He purposefully walks over to the chair and steps in. As the Space Jockey sits back into the chair the components of the suit appear, adhering to his body. [u]INT PROMETHEUS BRIDGE[/u] Janek is alerted to a scanner that informs him that the Derelict is powering up. Communicating over the radio he warn's Shaw: [b]JANEK[/b] "It's a ship... They're leaving!" [u]EXT TEMPLE WALLS[/u] Shaw, in her spacesuit stands infront of the Temple walls and notices the ground beneath her feet shaking, she responds over the radio to Janek: [b]SHAW[/b] "We have to stop them! If we don't, we won't have a home to go back to!" Benath Shaws feet the ground opens up, revealing itself to be the doors to a hangar storing the Derelict. [u]INT DERELICT HANGAR[/u] As the ground opens up the Derelict, in a horizontal position, hums into life and is slowly raised up. [u]EXT TEMPLE WALLS[/u] Shaw jumps down only to land on the platform raising the Derelict. The Derelict appears out of the ground, settling at ground level. Shaw standing infront of it watches as it rotates upward, its prongs pointing to the sky. Then effortlessly it lifts of the ground and gradually picks up speed as it ascends. [b]SHAW[/b] "Oh my god!" [maybe, just guessing at that line, and any lines from this point on.] The Prometheus engines engage, lifting the ship off the ground before heading full throttle toward the ascending Derelict. [u]INT PROMETHEUS BRIDGE[/u] Vickers already on the bridge, and furious at the unscheduled launch she barks at Captain Janek: [b]VICKERS[/b] "What the hell are you doing?" [b]JANEK[/b] "You heard Shaw, you heard David! That things heading for Earth. If we don't stop we won't have a home to go back to!" [b]VICKERS[/b] "Take us home" (pauses to collect herself) "We can warn Earth!" [b]JANEK[/b] "Can't take that risk! What if that thing is faster than us?" Vickers has no come back, she knows that Captain Janek is right. Surrendering to the situation she exclaims before rushing off the bridge: [b]VICKERS[/b] "Dammit!" [u]INT PROMTEHEUS CORRIDORS[/u] Vickers runs through the corridors of the Prometheus, unzipping her outfit as she does so, before arriving at the escape pods. [u]EXT SKY[/u] As the Derelict continues to ascend at a steady pace the Prometheus is seen closing the distance, its four engines on full burn. [u]INT ESCAPE PODS[/u] Vickers, now full dressed in her space suit enters on of the pods and braces herself as it is launched into the Lifeboat beneath the main ship. [u]INT PROMETHEUS LIFEBOAT [I'm guessing here][/u] Vickers' Escape Pod slams into place within the lifeboat before opening. Vickers quickly climbs out and jumps into the pilots seat, hastily flicking switches and pressing buttons in a panic. [u]EXT SKY[/u] As the Prometheus nears ever closer to the Derelict the lifeboat is seen ejecting from underneath, before engaging its thrusters and descending to the surface. The Prometheus has all but caught up with the Derelict. [u]INT PROMETHEUS BRIDGE[/u] The scanners onboard the Prometheus are going haywire, red lights are flashing, monitors are screaming with their beeps, many of the monitors are screaming PROXIMITY ALERT! Janek, steel faced braces himself, screaming in determination. [u]EXT SKY[/u] The Prometheus collides head on with the belly of the Derelict, igniting into a huge fireball as it crumples against the hull of the Derelict. [u]EXT LANDSCAPE[/u] We see the ascent of the Prometheus paused as the Prometheus explodes, on the ground the Lifeboat can be seen safely landed, a small figure near to it. [u]EXT SKY[/u] The Derelict, ablaze and smoking begins to lose altitude rotating down toward the ground like a rolling wheel. [u]EXT TEMPLE WALLS[/u] Shaw looks up at the falling Derelict, a tear in her eye for Captain Janek, unaware of the space suited person running towards her from behind. The running figure approaches Shaw and touches her on the shoulder. Shaw swings round and sees Vickers before. Shaw attacks Vickers, swing her arms furiously, hysterically: [b]SHAW[/b] "You BITCH!" As vickers raises her arms in defense from the onslaught of Shaws attacks falling Debris starts to impact the ground around them. Shaw ceases her assault as both her and Vickers look at the debris, the debris of the Prometheus, before looking up to see that the falling Derelict is just about to crash infront of where they are standing. Vickers looking back and forth between Shaw and the lifeboat pulls at Shaws's arm. As Shaw turns to Vickers: [b]VICKERS[/b] "Come on!" As Shaw and Vickers run towards the lifeboat the Derelict hits the ground and begins to roll towards the two escaping woman... Thats it, but I do wonder about some other elements... 1. Could the lifeboat be the Magellan?!? - Nostromo/Narsicuss, Prometheus/Magellan. 2. I suspect David may be killed by the Space Jockey before it activates the rising seat. 3. I suspect the confrontation between Shaw and the Space Jockey takes place after the crash, hence the footage of the suit opening up, not closing. 4. But if that is the case, were is Vickers?
