MemberOvomorphMar-31-2012 2:08 AMI don't think they need to do something different. Sirens and heartbeats suit this very much, so why use some "blockbuster orchestra" or "typical inception" sounds?

MemberOvomorphMar-31-2012 2:35 AMIf I remember right, the sirens were used for the first Alien movie TV ad's and trailers.

MemberOvomorphMar-31-2012 2:48 AM@perps I thought it was pretty cool that Scott used it again for Prometheus. It's kind of a through back for the long time fan's.

MemberOvomorphMar-31-2012 2:50 AMTotally agree with perps, an original tune especially for the trailer
should've been composed. I hate those jungle tumbling drums when
action kicks in, it's generic and tedious. I hope this doesn't spill over
into the main film.
