what is the green globe?

Well as far as I have seen ... there has been no NORMAL electronic panels or devices ANYWHERE on the planet or in the Derelict Ship ... SO ... I'm concluding that all their 'electronics stuff' must be Biomech (BioOrganism) based? ... and those little (white-sish) eggshaped objects around the control panel in the HoloRoom must be their version of switches? ... and the globe like thingy some sort of monitor device ... also those eggshapes are on the panel in front of people who sit in the chair ... so must be another panel of sorts? ... but you get my drift ... hmmm im trying to get it ... but what makes him turn back to see the SJ coming out ... could it be the green globe triggered the mechanism for the SJ to come out?

Well hes just watching the chair come out......pretty much like we hit the garage door button abd stand there watching it open for the next 12 hours lol.

Plus i reckon all those egg shapes on the panel in front of his face light up with holograms of some kind.....the whole ship seems to use holo technology. We just havnt seen them light up yet.

I don't think an SJ is actually in the chair at this point? when it's coming up I mean ... look at my older posted image below, I reckon it's after the chair has risen up ... and yes I think he 'flipped' a switch of sorts or something triggered the chair to rise ... I think the "green globe" is Earth's coordinates and the Blue is placing this into the navigation system before he then sits in the chair and becomes one with the ship. It's the same sphere David is holding in the Star Map room ( which is actually the same room and the SJ's telescope/ gun thing chair ) but instead of it being blue when David holds it, it turns green when being placed into the navigation system.

@Stomach ... Hmmm ... I don't think if it is Earth ... love to be wrong :) ... I reckon he actually holds the 'HoloGram' Earth in hands a as it's displayed along with the rest of the hologram ... I just think their technology is that advanced ... also on other scenes 'while' the hologram display is showing, with David in it, there is still a green orb glowing by the control panel ...

That thing the image says looks broken is just the strange elephantine helmet that is open. When SJ sits down, the helmet comes down and the sides of the chair close.
