Ghost Solitare
MemberOvomorphApr-02-2012 10:36 AMHaving just read over all the discussions, which has become an obsession. Is there a support group for any of this? Anyhow, just a odd thought. Imagine you were on an expedition to a planet where you found an intact Mala'kak vessel, and you were part of an engineering team tasked with retroengineering this technology. If the ship itself is alive, how is it going to react when you start cutting into the hull to remove components, considering you can actually cut into it. This of course could only happen after you have breached it's security protocols, and accessed it's most vital areas. It's like trying to get a blood sample from a sleeping giant that you've suddenly awakened. I don't think it would go very well. I find it incredibly sinister that the ship itself is akin to a spiders web and that it merely lures you in and then extracts what it needs/wants from you. Creepy....

MemberOvomorphApr-02-2012 10:55 AMWhile I like that because it ascribes a purpose and perhaps a consciousness to the "Engineered" I can't say anything as I haven't seen the movie. Those ships are big, I think Alien only scratched the surface of a very DEEP rabbit hole.
