Break for Xenos

Hey Guys! I've read most of the posts and i find that 70% of the people are more than eager to see another Xenos or a Direct connection to previous Alien Films, That's fine since that where it all started! isn't it?! Let's be realistic! We all know how monsters in hollywood look like and the stories about them and how they finish! Right! he have seen it ALL!! We should expect clever new monsters, scary in diffent ways, and not only one but three or four diffent hard to kill monsters!!! So, why don't we give them a deserved break and lets take the new and lets focus on what is different from Alien movies insted of what is similar? At the end... that's the very point for all this!

i personally look forward what prometheus has got in store for us - curious how the departure from the "old" alien movies will turn out - and to be honest - the old xeno vs. human shoot out would rather be disappointing - like ridley scott said "been there - done that" - i´m glad that he tries to add something completely new to the story - moving one or even a few steps beyond the well known universe - and i would have expected nothing less from him! bring it on!

Yeah! Everything to do with Aliens is already in our minds! And in the other hand that is WHY we are here!! But we shouldn't (with all respect) seek for more of the same! Let alone that they crashed the Aliens franchise with Aliens versus Predators disaster movies!!! By the way I apologize for my spelling errors, no excuses!, i'll do it better from now on!!

They milked the franchise dry... Where is our alien of yesteryear ? I hope that this new movie will not try to show us a proto alien, but something new... I laughed my ass out when I saw Alien 4 with this crossing between human and alien... It pains me to say this gunk was fimed by a french director....

I got the feeling, referring to the trailers, the first half of the film will be told very interesting, mystic, spiritual but then turning into a nightmare, Ridley Scott-style. nice. I dont need any original Xenos under all circumstances ;)..I´d rather like it to be more mysterious, shimmering and.. evil. ;) cheers

I'm hoping the xenos are only foreshadowed and don't make any explicit appearances, at least until the very end of the movie to wrap things up. Although Alien Resurrection made a big point of how they could wipe out Earth, I feel like the xenos are just not such a big deal in the grand scheme of things...hopefully there are much greater, more sinister forces at play in Prometheus, and xenos just form an incidental part of the big picture. In the originals, they were mainly a threat to the small groups of humans unlucky enough to stumble across them; not to humanity as a whole.

I also hope the the xenomorph only represents a tiny element of a grand and desolate horror and, for that kind of trade-off, I'd be satisfied to live and never see another.

Well Ridley did say that the last 8 minutes could lead to being connected with Alien. But i think it opens up posibilities to explore another side of the universe than the Xeno Aliens.
