Inspiration for new MONSTERS!

I thought about this one all day before coming back to post my thoughts and I still think it is going to be the Xeno, in it's tiniest infant not tainted by Human DNA yet life cycle/stage of development. The film is going to feature that thing chasing humans throughout their ship until they all {except Vickers I think} become one with it's DNA and develop and grow until we see it in the last few seconds as the XENO from Alien, or as close to that as possible.

Why do people keep saying "baby squid"? What we saw was a snake like creature much like the original chestburster... It only had one tail and NO tentacles. The reflection in the glass made it look like multiple tails.

the squid is horrifing IMO..quite big inside, right? ;)

Sparty that sounds like "Leviathan - 1989 - Starring Peter Weller" IMO the Xeno is going to be some sort of nasty massive snake or eel; possibly aquatic, but I hope it doesn't absorb everything like "The Thing" or "Leviathan" just something viscious and nasty :)

I saw that, never made the connection...also not related but funny...I got this thing on ebay...had to win a bid for it....it is the criterion collection copy of ROBOCOP and features the "X" rated copy of the film that Verhooven original submited to the studios and which they subsequently made 58 seperate requests for further cuts to before they allowed it to be released in North America. It is INCREDIBLE...and Both Weller and Allen are a Joy to watch in their pure unedited spelndor, along with CLARENCE BODDIKER lmfao, the dad from That 70's show..."nanananananana" as he shoots the limbs off Wellers body !!! A true Cinematic BloodFest Hardly anyone ever really saw the way Verhooven intended!!! I am still stuned everytime I watch it !!! I cannot tell you how GORY this thing is, you have to see it to believe it !!! Changed everything I thought originally about that film.

Actually, we DO see the Xenos in Prometheus, just mini sized.

"Big things have small beginings." is what that one dude said in the tailer. so there is my proof!

That's the very Key to all of this thing XenoKiller3 IMO.

Maybe the design team is going to show us how the Newborn should have looked, and what kind of genesis it should have underwent. A big thing from a small beginning

They keep saying squid because there are indeed some tentacles in one or the trailers.

Sorry to say but it has tenticles. Here [img]http://img13.imageshack.us/img13/8712/facehugger.jpg[/img] That is more than one appendage. From what i have seen it apears to be like a Squid/Octopus with 4 appendages, which is what seems to be like what David Pulls from the Canister/Pods

As far as inspiration well look at the Derelict, the Xeno, the Face Hugger and Chest Burster, look at the Walls/architecture design of the Derelict in both movies, the Halls in Prometheus the Hives in Aliens. They all look and are based of Artwork by Giger. Look at his Artwork of the Birth Cycle, it shows what could be influence of the Jockey and this Artwork they apear to be Space Suits and not a actual Creature i.e like in Alien. Then when you look at a few other peices of his work, he has what looks like Eels with the head of a Xeno, or like Chest Burster Stage Xenos only bigger. I think we will see Giger influences in this movie.
