Aliens: the 8th Passenger = David 8???

You know what ? I see too David becoming our beloved xenomorph ( even if there will not be one and blah blah blah ) ...there is something in his head shape ....btw i think he will be a victim of some weird incident ...

It makes sense, but I think that Fifield is the one that turns into a creature (not the xenomorph, since they said there won't be one in this movie, but its proto-form).

@Frantz, I feel that way, too (even if we don't see an Alien, which I couldn't care less about). I mean, we're trying to make an electronic, neural map of the human brain, so it's not that farfetched to think that an advanced alien race couldn't do the reverse and make a biological brain based on David's electronics and sensors. That to me is far more satisfying and boundary-stretching than for a human to merely be mutated into something else...that's been done to death (not that I won't enjoy seeing what's in store for the crew!).

Yes that's what i mean JONES, it's a fair way of bring our "beloved" creature from something that half belongs to us and half belongs to the outer space! Yes also remember that all these androids like David 8 are our intend to be like God!

i assume that David is given the numerical 8 for the same reason ripley was in resurrection.

the possibility for David be alive and to transform is still in the books as far as a Science Fiction stance, spoilers or not.

except the mural implies the xeno already exists, and even the derelict might have been on LV426 for millions of years...and round and round we go again!

@ JP, True, but it also may depict "a xeno", as in X + Y = xeno, not "the xeno" we all know and love to fear, which could be X + Y + human/android or Y + Z + human. The only thing I'm certain about is how uncertain I am about most of the movie.

I think two of these "species encountered" types come together somehow to make the proto-xeno and they somehow mate since really none of them fit the description or the bill. I think somehow the mutated crew member and maybe the squidly thing might somehow come together, its pretty Gigerish to do so. I also think the cobra looks like a facehugger without the legs (could gain those by human DNA)

David becomes Xeno.... maybe untill we find more about the plot, spoilers and hints by Ridley so nope. But maybe Ridley has been messing with us, leaving us red herrings. Hints to Vickers being Andriod. Movie is when Mommy meets Daddy i.e Shaws Baby. Then how maybe the Derelict is Millions or years old. Maybe Vickers is no Andriod, maybe the Derelict is Millions of years old but does not mean its been on LV426 that long. Maybe Shaws Baby has nothing to do with the Xeno, or not how we think. Two Andriods... maybe... David 8 being the Xeno maybe just not David 8. How about a 2nd David 8, mixed with Engineers Fire to create a Replicant type lifeform like David but becomes more lifelike more closer to being a Human. Used as a Host for Weyland.... But the plan goes to pants and the Xeno is created instead... maybe who knows.
