C'mon! All you're thinking about is that rocket body Hahaha

Maybe the Yutani skinjobs are just real bitches..oops did i say that out loud?
I mean we do see a lot of the "sun god logo" aka Aliens Weylan Yutani logo on the suits.
And we know 2 superpowers are fighting for "loot"
and apparently Weyland won the David patient, meaning "someone" was creating droids also.
I mean since we are just ...thinking

Bishop says, "the 'A2's were always a bit twitchy". Does that mean that David and/or Vickers is possibly an 'A1'?

@progeny ...
The 'David' patent lawsuit was won over the Japanese start-up Yutani Corperation, effectively protecting the investments of both Weyland Industries and its shareholders ...
The original draft was going to have 3 world powers ... or rather the Earth was going to be divided into 3 regions ... but this was taken out of this movie ... might he throw the 3rd power back in? ... which then causes a Weyland/Yutani merge? ...

@Gem]n[
Interesting to find out that there would have been 3 world powers in the draft, wonder if they wanted Tyrell to be one of them *lol*
I was referencing the timeline about the patient over Yutani and we know they become merged in future "lore"
If you look at the logo's on the suits you see what appears to be both the early Yutani logo as Y in "sun emblem" and the Weyland logo.
It does seem as if this is a joint venture in some way does it not?
I just wonder...if our fembot theories are indeed true and the fembot is really a Yutani spy/rogue.
but...the mind does wander with this idle time. :)

@fanboy79; Are you saying that emotion is the "flaw" in their design? If so, that would be interesting. Ash seemed nervous and impatient. While Bishop's "improved" model seemed so calm and reserved. *( Ash was made by Hyperdyne Systems)
Fassbender says David8 develops some emotion; jealousy, ego. That his programming allowed for emotional growth. Much like a child. He also said he based David8's character on the Blade Runner replicants. From what I saw the replicants were emotional wrecks. As for the Alien style androids, Ash runs in place nervously in one scene in Alien, Vickers is doing pushups, maybe they have to release emotion physically??
In Alien4 Annalee Call (built by fellow androids) and her advanced android brothers and sisters are hunted and destroyed because humans did not like how emotional/human they had become. Her model effectively destroyed the android industry instead of reviving it like it was supposed to.

@progeny ...
Haha ... sorry ... my reading is getting bad lately ... ;) ...
About David & Ash ... what if David f*cked 'this' mission up because he was 'too' 'emotional' (as in useless)? ... and so they tweaked the later versions of Androids and created the 'Ash' model to be a bit 'harder' to get the job done? ... he ended up being 'too hard' (as in a nutter) and so the Bishop model was created ... a middle balance of the two? ...
Trivia Question for You:
Was there an ASH in the Weyland family ... just asking because David was named after the fact that Weyland would've called his human son David ... and Bishop is named after Charles Bishop Weyland ... so what about Ash? ... never entered my mind until this movie discussion ...

I'm sticking to the thought that this mission bankrupts Weyland into a hostile takeover/merger of some kind. It would make sense, seeing as how the mission apparently turns out to be an obvious disaster.

On the Weyland website, you can see the advances on the 'Emotion' scale in successive 'David' models to increase more than any other scale. David could be the most "human" of them all when the cards are down. That would be a twist.
