MemberOvomorphApr-05-2012 3:29 AMRight bear with me on this.
The planet that blue man is on at begining of the trailer with the waterfall. What if hes just cleaned that planet of an infection of some kind. Hes checking himself to make sure just before he gets back on his ship to take the infection away to a desolate planet where he must remain until he finds a way of curing the said infection.....quarentine of some kind.....like Prometheus tied to the rock.
Then a bunch of aliens (us) from a distant planet show up and start poking around getting all infected n stuff.
Blue man thinks bugger this, im not going through all that again and starts.....well....cleansing our Prometheus crew members as they get infected.
But its too late and the quaretined (locked in the urns) infection begins to spread around the ship changing it. The ship thinks to itself.....ah haaaa i can get back to the earth to infect everything like i did with the dinosaurs to whipe them out again knowing the earth is repopulated with a different species now thousands of years later.
But blue man gets into the chair to try and shut the ship down......captain of Prometheus gets it wrong (again) and thinks the blue man is trying to navigate to earth when hes really trying to keep the ship on the desolate planet. So captain rams the ship crippling it but the SJ ship in its dying throws is trying to repair itself with the new human DNA. But alas its too little too late and is just too badly damaged.
So blue meanie isnt so mean after all......hes actually a hero of sorts.
That could be why we were "so wrong"
Could be why blue man is in purgitory (Prometheus tale)
Could be why blue man has to suffer again (Prometheus tale)
Blue man then sets up a warning beacon to keep people away.....but then the ships new defence mechanism (now biomechanoid) kills him in his chair.
Next 37 years are evolution for the defence mechanism to evolve into what we know as .....yayyyyyyyyyyy the Xenomorph.
So blue meanie......really isnt a villain. I mean in the trailers we dont see him cause any malice do we? And we dont know that hes a transformed Prometheus crew member.
Because he knows how to fly the ship and use its technology where as we know that the Prometheus crew would NOT know how to use its technology even if freshly transformed.......your not born with the knowledge of how to fly a plane are you?
Perhaps there WERE more of the blue men on board ship but they all succumbed to the virus and our blue man is the sould survivor.
OR Blue man could really be Valdamort! I mean.....he does look like him.
There......thats my story and im sticking to it lol.

MemberOvomorphApr-05-2012 3:34 AMLol, i like it hahaha
Also because, it explains Alien on a sidenote, it gives some answers
And as they said, would leave even more bigger questions
Where do they(gods?creators?) come from, etc

MemberOvomorphApr-05-2012 4:22 AMDefinitely like the idea that these are the various genetic dooms of humanity/civilizations, that are held prisoner in the various pods. Wouldn't explain a lot, but would certainly explain the naive threat the crew of Prometheus brings to the table.
Stopping/killing the crew, in this scenario, could very well be a benevolent deed for humanity.

MemberOvomorphApr-05-2012 10:11 AMMark: You had me up to the Valdamort theory.
I knew you couldn't be trusted as his name is 'Voldemort'!
Spell it right!
(I may have to post my theory very soon. It seems every man and his dog seems to be doing it! This is the first to connect Prometheus to Harry Pottter!
I might try and come up with a connection to Gladiator!
Maximus is actually Prometheus/Weyland/Deckard immortal!! I have it!!

Very interesting, I really enjoyed alot of what you said in your theory. makes you think alot. I am not one to debunk anyones theory, because I think mine **posted in a different thread** has merit, as I believe they all do, and I really like where this theory is going, but it kind of takes the "scary" out of it. Meaning; if there isn't something that humans are almost defenseless against chasing them / trying to kill them or mutate them, that is all I mean. but it was a pretty exciting read my man! AND it is a completely different spin in the norm. I LIKE IT!
