My speculation

Its time to play ...and i will play too ... thats my speculation of the plot ( Snork gave me some ideas that ive elaborated ) 1) Humanoids were once a powerful race 2) Humanoids were punished by the higher beings ( creatures we have yet to see that were probably their creators ) for some unknown fault or rebellion (ex. giving fire to lesser minions ? ) 3) the punishment was a plague ( growing black veins ) that destroyed them except the king that was imprisoned forever in the temple ... ( watch also the scars on the statue )..the temple of course is a big prison/tomb , there are the bodies of the followers ( like egypt ) there are the uniforms , there are the offers 4) however humanity survived the plague but the higher beings were unaware of that 5) the prison/tomb have his measures of defences , one of which is the "relict" 6) the humans free the king and inadvertitely alarm the higher beings 7) the humans save the king ( the guy on the wheelchair ) and they start to fight the monsters ( tentacular ones ) and are also infected by the mechanism of defences ( the higher beings were of course powerful bio engineers ) 8) a speceship is sent to destroy humans once for all 9) the prometheus crew manage to delay the higher beings plans until ... 10) the king sacrifice himself to save earth ( PS i dont think this will be the real plot ..but is one i did like to think :p )

Well its interesting... A few people have leaked suposed stuff about the movie. One Character from the movie says the crew disturb skeletal beings who then go around Prometheus killing the crew, she says her Character Mudow, gets killed off after only 28 minutes. Someone else on set says they saw 4 actors in blue Alien looking Suits with the Alien Heads hanging off as they was eating their lunch, Could they mistake that for the head/masks of Space Jockeys? Someone else had leaked that the Alien thats the main threat to the crew is larger than the orginal Alien one. Now the Mudow scenes we do see her in shock and in that scene we make out Blue Guys hand. Now someone told me that the main villans are Space Jockeys of which 4 go around trying to wipe out the crew because they are not happy at their trespassing. Who knows if any of the above is true? If they all are, then maybe the Dead Jockey was killed by the crew? who knows.

Oh sorry i wrote the above, because if true it would apear that the Jockeys are not nice. And Ridley or other production members did make comments like the crew was expecting to meet a civilised race who could maybe hold key to our creation but what they come across is a race who do not act in a civilised way at all. The other movie tag line was that the crew set out to find the true orgin of mankind but come across a race of Bio Mechanical Killers. Maybe that means the Blue Guys are indeed Bluemeanies.

that Doctor guy seems to hate me :(((((((( lol ... to BigDave ...that script with mudow and the skeletal mostruosities is a fake so we cant rely on it ( i mean is a fake just like my speculation )

Nice job Frantz. Your speculations were written as clearly as any others I've read on here. To me, the coolest thing about this movie so far, is the immense amount of anticipation we're all sharing as long-time fans of the original film/franchise and the universe in which it takes place. It's interesting to see the melding of so many ideas from religion and mythology, to pop-culture, in everyone's musings and attempts to reason out the plot. I'm just hoping for dark......very, [i]very[/i] dark......so while I have nothing but respect for religious practitioners in the real world, I just don't see much room for benevolent sky daddies of any description, in the universe which is particular to "Alien."

Xenos had to come from somewhere. Because of the Xenos need to have a host this also suggests that there must be at least one for type of Xeno. I always had it in my head that the origianl Alien Xeno was the ultimate biological species in the universe. The 1979 Space Jockey, in my thoughts, was always a victim of a chestbuster. I find it suprising that in the trailer the Space Jockeys chest is opening as if it was a hinged breastplate. I don't know... I am just blown away at what I see and the possibilities. Sorry I do not have much to offer as you all seem to have already expertly analyzed every bit of Prometheus data that is out there. My hats off to you all! I first saw Alien on Betamax... Since then I have been waiting on an explanation for the Space Jockey. I have high hopes for this movie. I am babbeling.... Thats the thing, we have heard so many suposed inside info and we just dont know whats the case. i expect we have not even scratched the surface and that Ridley is going to come up with a Story thats a bit "thinking outside of the box" with some shocking moments and maybe not in the horror but maybe in terms of a suprise story/plot. We only seen in Trailers these Aliens... 1) One Space Jockey/Blue Guy alive.. See what apears to be others dead, and suits hanging on walls. 2) A few worm/grub like organisms (inc Holloways Eye, wriggling thing on what looks like a Bowl?, thing that gets into the torn space suit of one of the crew). 3) The Squid Hybrid Baby 4) a Blue Tenticle that attacks or goes after Shaw (is that Squidy Baby or Wormy thing). We see that somehow members of the crew begin to mutate (Fifeild and Holloway). But maybe there will be more than the above and we just dont know the what, how, where and when of these Organisms we have seen.
