We all, or at least most of us, assume the Blue Guy/Space Jockey is the antagonist, or one of the antagonists in the movie. But, in all the footage released in all the trailers and TV spots we have not once seen him/it physically assault anyone or anything. Is our speculation misplaced on our own assumptions... we see this guy... 1. Walking towards the big chair. 2. Standing up as the big chair rises out of the ground. 3. Possibly approaching David in the Orrery. 4. Its hand in frame in front of Ford. 5. Standing over Shaw aboard the Prometheus. 6. Donning the Space Jockey suit. There s nothing to suggest in the footage he is violent, therefore, maybe, he/it might not be the antagonist most of us assume he is?

Indeed, the attacking suits look more to be "muting" humans.

Mutating into what? I know no one has the answer yet. I'm hoping for lots of xenos running around and wrecking shop. I would prefer that over mutating humans

I still think it was probably Holloway hybridized with SJ (he would have motivation to do this in order to do good (unlike the second possibility, Weyland). Recent Q&A with Ridley (unfortunately) suggests it may also be an awakened humanoid, the same one who helped humanity along, although this would not make him any less cheesy - here I'd actually prefer mutation or hybridization of crew members (look up the original AMIRANI version of the Prometheus legend, not the Greek one), but in any case I think that there will be another order of being there, the actual SJs or whatever created them, kind of like "the other gods" in HP Lovecraft.

Well the crew members who come face to face with the SJ are terrified of him. The movie statements do aim towards us looking for our creation and instead they find a race of Bio Mechanical Killers. Combine this with the comment that the crew hoped to find a Civilised advance race who potentially created us, but what they find is a race who are doing uncivilised things. Points to me that the SJs are not so friendly towards us, but we dont know why yet.

I've been saying for a while that I think the blue guys are either benevolent or simply practical, and that there is another threat that we haven't seen yet. And then there is the point that the blue guys doesn't seem biomechanical to me. It looks like he is wearing a suit that has biomechanic type patterning, but that's not the same as [i]being[/i] biomechanical. His hands and heads are bare, like he's wearing long underwear. Seems kind of a silly look if he is meant to be BM.

You mean the scene with frightened Shaw confronted by a blue figure? If you saw a strange godlike being, would you not be frightened? It could be a mutated Holloway failing to realize at first that his lover Shaw no longer recognizes him, and is only frigntened by his current appearance. As for SJs turning to be evil/perverted, I believe that is not in question - far as I can recall, both Ridley and Giger (especially Giger) were explicit on this. But we still don't know if the blue guy with the too-human face is a SJ or what.
