TheNextLV426
MemberOvomorphApr-07-2012 2:33 PMBack in the late 80s after Aliens was released there was an Alien Experience tour that you could take in central London.
The idea was, you and around 15 others are taking a tour of a Wayland Yutani facility. As you go in they had a scientist showing you various facehuggers in jars, eggs etc. It’s all made up to look like a real lab. After a few minute or so alarms flashed and they declared an emergency as a xeno had escaped the lab. At that point several colonial marines burst in with pulse riffles and tell you they are going to help you escape the facility and to follow them to the exit. From then on you are led down dark corridors which were made to look like the corridors of LV426 by the marines. At various points the xeno tries to get in and a few times you meet it. I remember at one point the marines told us to wait in a dark corridor while they scouted ahead. They left us there for a few minutes, then the lights came on for about 2 seconds and the xeno was about 3 feet away creeping towards me. Honestly, you know it’s a guy in a costume but you p*ss your pants. There was another point where you are stuck in a lift and the xeno jumps in. It didn’t take 15 grown men much encouragement to get the doors open. The alien even managed to drag someone back in the lift before the doors closed, I’m assuming he was an actor.
It only lasted for about 3 years and I only managed to do it the once. Really good fun. Anyone else ever do it, I'm assuming they did them around the world.

F--- it - lets go for it!
