there are all kinds of problems with that. For one, It misidentifies David for Holloway a bunch of times.

What other problems? Besides the name mix up? I'm not saying there's not any or anything I'd just like to know.

Shaw running to the med lab obviously doesnt make sense since she's got the stitches and everything in that scene. She's obviously coming from the med lab not to it.

having been a long time ridley/alien fan, i fear we will all be disappointed no matter what the plot is/will be, i cant shake a feeling that prometheus will be a good, but not great film - it will not leave the same impressions like blade runner or alien. some things that don't feel right for me here - too many trailers, previews and screen shots released - film feels too much like 'hollywood' - don't like charlize

@jockey.space - agree with *almost* everything you said.. yes, too much and too soon. No problems with Charlize, though, she's solid @jonesy: other problems with this: - the "lopped off head" is a Sj helmet - "meanwhile Holloway begins to change" with the waterfall behind him? Where did the waterfall come from? This scene is probably the prologue or epilogue of the movie. - showing "injured Shaw" before the bioscanner scene. She's had a C-section, you can see the staples, plus earlier footage shows her distended belly and something being pulled out of her - not Holloway jumping off the vehicle attacking the crew, it's the geologist with the mohawk (forgot his name) - the dust storm shown is not the Alien ship taking off - other trailers show all the vehicles trying to outrun it, which implies it's from an earlier part of the movie there's more here - hard to read

Lol. That's pretty good. I have high hopes for it given Scott is such a perfectionist about the Alien franchise. Enough to let it go when the studio wanted to take it in a direction he didn't like. And btw, how in gods name could you not like Charlize Theron? I'd bathe in that woman's sweat.

One problem I have is the scale of the Direlect and the Prometheus. If you look at the ramming scene pic, the Prometheus looks big enough to do damage in according to Geigers vaginal openings on the Direlect. If you remember in the original Alien, when the crew walk up and enter the Direlect on LV -426, remember all you could see was small an't size lights from theyre space suits from a distant shot and the vaginal openings looked mammoth cave enormous compared to them making the ship look like the size of a city. In that case, scale wise, the Prometheus would be quite small compared to the Direlect. This new Direlect looks to be smaller in scale for the Prometheus to be be big looking in relation to the Direlects. When I look at shots of the Rovers driving away from the Prometheus and the crew, yes the Prometheus is big but in comparison to how big the Direlect in Alien was to the crew, it isn't consistent.

The scale of everything in ALIEN was not consistent. They put kids in suits just to make everything look bigger, how accurate can that be? Also there is a deleted shot that shows the crew entering on of the vaginal holes and the opening is barely bigger than the actors.

I can't read your Epilogue Jonsey. Too small.

Like spartacus said in a previous post, there's no way we can watch a 90 minute video in 2 minutes. Some forum members here said that prometheus is 190 minutes long, I doubt that, but I'm sure it's at least 100 minutes...there are certainly a lot of scenes we didn't see in the trailers... But, anyway, seems very accurate Jonesy...

And lastly, no one outside of a few people have seen the ending. They are keeping it completely hidden, with some saying it was a closed set. The man editing the trailer said he didn't have the last 10 minutes. i wonder if the scripts had a different ending, so even the actors not involved in the last 10 minutes would even know what happens. And I have read 190, I am better on 150-160. I think it will be long.

Seems like people are giving me credit for this. I just found this online though. I didn't put it together myself. And yeah, obviously there's a lot missing but if that is the gist of the story I think I might be a little dissapointed. Not because it's not good but because my idiotic, uncontrollable curiosity in regards to the film led me to knowing something I really would rather not have known going in. One of the great things about Alien was the way they promoted the film without giving too much away. RS is obviously trying to recreate that vibe but in a much more difficult situation with this being a "stand alone prequel" (or whatever the hell they want to call it) of a well known franchise. Add to that everyone's curiosity in regards to the SJ's origin and it's even more difficult. I think they've done a good job. I've tried to find out as little as possible which is why I've stayed away from this site for so long. There's only so much I can stand though.
