Prometheus crew unlock the Engineers technology to an evil race.......

That image to be tells me it depicts some Large Humaniod pointing to the Star System far away. With what look like Mankind and other creatures on Earth looking up. This tells me this is the Engineer/Jockey/Anunaki telling Mankind and all Creatures that they was created by these Gods and those Gods pointing to where they came from.

Was thinking about..the SJ's ......i think they may be us..a future us after our suns gone super nova and we have to source a new planet...... Anyway don't know how that's going to unfold... but here's what i think will happen... Crew arrive at lv.....??? Find archaeological ruins..... Tomb is booby trapped with sj gentic weapons..ie rewrites intruders dna...... Sj gets a phonecall alarm going of lv?....dispatches derelict ship.... Crew start turning into weird mutations ......often dying an reviving ..... One of the crew concieves imaculately..... David turns out to be our ancestor.. We turn out to be xenomorphs ancestor... Children of david that don't get xenomorphed turn out to be sj's ancestors..... Who are foing all of this because they need genetic material to repopulate their new/old planet. Mad i know what d u' think?

Were like livestock and they want to drop a big dna weapon when we are considered worthy enough.... Sj are a bit like nazi's wanting a super race... And graduation means getting metamorphosing into the Sj's Good or what eh!

@Kay A bit of a outlandish theory... but you know what i think Ridley Scott is going for the whole "think outside the box" Wow factor to get us to think, i never expected that for the Plot. I think the Trailers hint to a Story that the actual Plot will be different to the jigsaw we are patching together.

I've tried to post a second picture under the Engineer turntable rising. The lights on the turntable are similar to the star configurations in the wall paintings that Shaw and Holloway put together. This is why I think the humans get to the temple and punch the star configuration into the machine; then all hell breaks loose.......

"We were so wrong" quote is probably referring to the interpretation of the ancient markings, that we weren't actually invited. SJ's being future humans has been up for debate before but I don't think it's something Ridley Scott would do considering he wants to show us how little we are in the grand scheme of his story. I also don't think he would suggest us as being our own creators as he seems more like the type to believe something greater than ourselves created us.

@kay personally I don't like the idea of any kind of time travel. I would be annoyed if RS turned Alien into back to the future. The idea that future humans crash in the past and we meet them in the present is B movie stuff at best

I don't believe RS would do that to Alien...If he did, then his credibility as a director would drop big time for me. In short, I think that this story will be about the consequences of opening a sort of "universal Pandora's box", and how this crew will have to try to shut it to save Earth. Since RS keeps talking about how this film is/isn't connected to the Alien universe we know, I feel this film is like a short story with familiar characters(i.e., Weyland Industries).
