MemberOvomorphApr-11-2012 10:29 PMI think expectations are already too high. Part of the reason Star Wars and Alien blew us away was that they came out of nowhere.
I can't speak for anyone but myself but I'm hoping to enjoy it for whatever it is.
I am very happy, though, that original ideas are being brought back in.

MemberOvomorphApr-11-2012 10:33 PMAs a fan who's favorite film is 'ALIEN', many of you know at this point just how ramped up I can be.....but I'm going in only with the expectation that this is what it is and I'm just going to have wait and see.....I've always felt that you should look at any movie and ask yourself one question as honestly as possible, "Does this film do what it sets out to do?" Any film, in its way, has an obvious literal and figurative objective in its execution and the answer to that question, both directly and difused by detailed examination, will tell you its worth.....all I can do is let it be what it is and react accordingly...

MemberOvomorphApr-11-2012 11:06 PMI don't dwell on possible negatives culled from the public's opinion: it's a tiring waste of energy. Why work your mind that hard, I say.

AdminPraetorianApr-11-2012 11:10 PMI don't set my expectations too high, therefore I rarely get letdown. I know I will enjoy it no matter what. I love so many things about movies, the cinematography, the music, the actors.

MemberOvomorphApr-11-2012 11:22 PMI just hope that if that big head does move as rumours suggest, that it is either done practically or extremely good CGI. Hope it's practical. Personally I can't see the point of a giant head moving, seems to me more like a tomb which they have to get inside. Call it a Sphynx of sorts. I'm new to this site so maybe all this has been pondered upon before?

MemberOvomorphApr-11-2012 11:26 PMThe more that gets released about the film, the less excited I am about seeing it... Nothing I've seen so far has impressed me. The entire movie seems to be teetering on 'ridiculous'.

MemberOvomorphApr-11-2012 11:28 PMWell if it doesn't live up to the hype, I will only see it 3 times, and probably own it on Blu-Ray. why not, I have Alien Resurrection LOL.
