"Any Takers"

i picked up on this just in other thread. If the Space Jockey in that chair and the Derelict from this movie that crashes on LV 223, gets to and is the same as the one on LV 426. How, when and where does he get the Chestburster or Proto Chest Burster? Maybe David is on board and he unleashes some Organism against the Jockey, maybe Shaws Squidy Baby? Or maybe David becomes the Proto Xeno, who takes care of the SJ and then changes the Urns into Eggs? However what we need to ask, is why does the SJ let out a warning becon?

I thought that maybe the warning beacon was something to do with Peter Weyland.

i dont think the urns and the eggs are the same.....and i think the warning beacon is something that we will see was put into motion by one of the crew members of the prometheus....i think the urns actually house more than just one type of creature we will encounter....the eggs are total different a effect of the parasitic organism breeding or bounding with human DNA.....may be Shaw was pregnant before the trip and that explains some stuff....like how the squid thingy came about

Dont forget that Humans also dont have tails or two sets of jaws.... I think the Egg thing, i was looking at what David pulled out of the Urn and it had 4 parts to it and looked like he was pulling out say a peeled Banana thats covered in goo, now the Eggs when they open they open like a Banana peels. The only alternatives for the Eggs over layed by Queen or the Urns contain or change to Eggs are. 1) The Eggs are created some other way by the Space Jockey. 2) The Xeno can create Eggs and Lay them... so every Xeno is a Queen in a way. 3) The Xeno creates Eggs out of Humans or other Living life forms... but then thats a lot of life forms needed to change into all those Eggs on Aliens. The big question is..... How did they get there and how created them and how. i guess thats going to be answered in this movie or maybe not?

It doesn't seem to stand so straight?... The Engineers can create Life or a template for Life, but either cannot or do not design a reproductive cycle or ability? What would be the purpose of creating Life without that? I'd argue that the reproductive imperative [i]is[/i] Life. We can only guess at their purpose, so it may be the case. However, if we accept the suggestion that this is what they've done and that their created life form exists as some kind of "potential", without it's own reproductive ability and that this Form adopts the reproduction cycle of another Form, via contact at the genetic level - we'll only find that it actually seems [i]not[/i] to do that? Regardless of the gestation period, human beings don't lay batches of eggs. As far as I've observed, they are not, generally, much inclined to lay eggs at all. This seems nothing like human reproduction, so I can't follow you well...I'm struggling to see how there is anything about human reproduction that would lead an organism that used us to create it's reproductive cycle to go and lay seemingly unlimited batches of dormant eggs, apparently containing some kind of independent stage, before embryo - when that can't be in our DNA as it's the exact opposite of what we do: we, as you know, birth limited numbers of live young. This is the problem and I've mentioned this elsewhere - I really think the whole "Queen", "bug", thing was an interesting idea at the time - and well-executed -but I have personally always hated it never considered it anything to do with the story that Alien dealt with. I get the feeling the necessity for a, "Queen", and the entire branch of stories that followed that is exactly what is being stepped away from in this film - I'd be astonished if anything even resembling the idea appeared. I'd hope that's the case and would consider it a good thing as, while I think it was hopelessly inappropriate and led us down the "insect" road, the "Queen" was an easily understood answer to what is a very, very difficult series of questions to answer about the life-cycle we're looking at in this story - it seems basically nonsensical and if there's no "Queen", or, "laying", types of idea in Prometheus to give easy answers, they are going to have to be [i]very[/i] creative in addressing it - and that might be worth the ticket alone.

The conclusion would have to be, I suppose, (where the observation was to do with an absent reproductive cycle), that the created life form is already programmed for it's full requirement of numbers of jaws, teeth and tail and such, so doesn't require DNA for those things, from us. @fanboy79 Haha - yes, you comedian, but they don't lay them in a pattern all over the floor. At least…not [i]usually.[/i] If you ever do witness a human female engaging in that activity I'd think you need to be prepared to ask some difficult questions of a very personal nature: either that, or do as I would do and make your excuses, finish your drink and leave that place without looking back once.
