This then could go someways to explaining what happens then to the Space Jockey when the alien chestburst from within him, this decompress the life-supportive "atmoshere" from within and thus exposes him to perhaps the vacume of space or at least to the atmospere of the planet the ship ends up on. This calamity with the astronauts from the Prometheus and the breaches in their suits again taps into the indirect "DNA" metaphors that Ridely Scott speaks of in relation the the Bio Engineers race and their behavior.

This has been discussed to death already. It's milburn for sure there are clips of his plexiglass facemask melting to his face, it's about the same size and in the same location as the clip with the creature(hammerpede?) exiting his mouth at another crewmen(holloway?)

Is a "spitting (acid)" CobraAlien possible?

In Alien 3 the Alien could spit its acid so perhaps it can here but i think it goes down more like this.... (Possible Spoilers) Milburn and Fifield find the room their in with open urns and the black goo everywhere There's an escaped lifeform, possibly numerous lifeforms, and Milburn happens upon the Cobralien It latches onto Milburns arm and begins to tighten, his curious amazment quickly turns to sheer pain and utter horror It begins to crush and break his arm so he asks Fifield to help, Fifield either tries to grab it off or pry it off at it tightens more and more until it snaps his arm like a twig. Milburn is screaming Fifield is shitting and the Cobralien begins to enter Milburns suit through a tear it created by breaking his arm. He begs Fifield to "cut it off! CUT IT OFF!!!" and it either sprays FIFIELD in the face when he tries to cut it loose or it actually spits acid in his and he falls to the ground screaming and wriggling in pain Milburn still panicing and oblivious to the now also screaming Fifield mutters helplessly "its in my suit!!...its my suit" as the creature makes its way throught the tear in his arm and up to his fishbowl helmet. It then procceds to viciously force its way down his throat and at this point he either a) bites it once its almost all the way down spraying Acid on his Plexiglass mask or b) the entry procces of the creature secretes for mentioned acid and it gets onto his face and face mask melting it while he screams to his face. when the rest of the crew go to examine the scene they find Milburn dead with the creature(Hammerpede) in his mouth and it shoots at a crewmen. Fifield is either taken back to the ship where he goes ape shit at the Hanger with holloway or he is already run of infected and turns up later. imo

Or Milburn/Fifild tries to smash though the helmet in a panic. Maybe then with this hole made Milburn bites on it, spraying Fifield from the hole?

Why does everyone seem to think the thing jumping out of the dead geezers mouth is either the cobrahugger thingy or indeed Milburns body. From looking at images of it the thing that exits it doesn't look like the cobrahugger to me and the jaw of the exitee does not look like someone who has had a contained acid peel facial bath????

True, it could have jumped from one helmet, through that, and then into another, smashing it

@ fanboy, that's exactly what i thought when i saw the gif today. Millburn's (is ti him?) face looks like the statue, especially the eyes and nose. I don't know how or why the face turns like this, but i'm pretty sure it's important in the movie!
