Seriously, how does mural dude reproduce?

Maybe his bits have been censored(edited out) for the media pictures but will be put back in the film?...or maybe he has a really small pecker and hes wearing a thin suit. Thats why we cant see anything? Maybe they dont need to have sex to reproduce and they create life in a laboratory or something?

Science..... Absolute power corrupts absolutely. If you were an immortal, because surely all your research in manipulating dna brought that little gem to life. you create life with technology. The drive to reproduce biologically becomes superceded by your ability to do it technologically. Gigers contributions are a lifecycle that combines the two, something engineered, and something biological. Immortality, how far would you be willing to go for it, and what would you be willing to do? I imagine we'll see.

How do you know you don't see any "parts" on the "Mural dude" for reproducing? Because you don't see any "parts" you associate with reproduction - but maybe you're already looking at it's "parts"? Maybe it doesn't reproduce using "parts" you are familiar with, or maybe it's reproduction is not dependent upon the use of "parts". Maybe it doesn't reproduce at all - why do you have an expectation that it does? Maybe it requires something [i]else[/i] to reproduce [i]it.[/i] Maybe [i]it[/i] reproduces via something [i]else.[/i].....

Why.....is everyone around here soooo obsessed with space jockey dong and the idea of rapace's character being raped by one? Jokes aside, I for one am fuckin' tired of it. I swear, the quality of this forum degrades as the release date nears. Every idea has been thrown in and picked apart and now all anyone seems to talk about is sounds like some intergalactic 'Bang-bus' episode.

I think it's a legit question (the absence of genitals on the big boy, I won't say SJ's because now I'm rethinking that they are one and the same), since it gives us an additional clue to their nature. And I don't think people are saying Shaw was raped, but probably inadvertently impregnated by an infected crew member - which only leads (probably) to the most shocking scene in the movie. Plus, it gives new meaning to the term "blue balls".

@eighty-five - I dont think Ive never heard the idea of Shaw being raped by a Space Jockey LOL And Ive never came across anyone whos obsessed with Space Jockey dongs either. Mustve been before I joined. Its true that every idea(apart from a TONNE of my own that I will keep for myself) have been thrown in and picked apart...some more than once or twice...but thats not our fault. Theres no search function, theres no stickies, and theres not a lot any of us really know about this movie right now, which leads us to constantly think of theories from the little pieces of the puzzle were given. We're kept guessing so what did you expect?

IMHO It's a mural. As such it is an artistic representation. Therefore it doesn't need to be anatomically correct. What do we know about the artist's intention? Is it symbolic? None of the rest of the mural is a realistic rendering, why should that part be? Just sayin'.
