Interesting Similarities

So I sat down to watch species the other day with its Gigeresque influence and was wondering if "sils" race could be in the same universe as Alien. The race of "sil" had to have advanced knowledge of our DNA to send a message to earth so that our scientists could create one. Also they said that they gave us advanced energy knowledge so is the "sil" sort of like another weapon just delivered a different way.
