Hercules (Herakles) the next movie?

If we are tossing in names for rescue ships, I would like to toss [i]Sugar Twinkle[/i] into the mix. Also, [i]Sassy Baskets[/i].

i'm more partial to the name "Phoebus" for a ships name

Interesting. Hercules could be the name of the next ship in Prometheus 2 which goes out to rescue Prometheus in a metaphorical way as you stated. Certainly interesting. Great post!

I think the plot will just have a vague if not none reference to the prometheus myth ....we have already a ship named Prometheus , we cant have also a plot as the same ...will be ridicolous . It will be like having a movie with a ship named Ulysses ( Odysseus ) that get stranded in the space for many years ....silly .

For a long time I've had a feeling that one of the crew will benefit from the infection/ genetics of the gods... and this character metaphorically represents Hercules, or a demi-god (mixture of god and man) within the film. This character is able to fight off the monsters threatening the crew after he purposely finds a way to mutate himself, but remains in control, i.e. doesnt start attacking the crew, because he's a synthetic creation of humans and doesn't mutate fully. "Big things have small beginnings".

Mala'kaka, I like the idea of a super or enhanced human transformed by the bioengineer's "fire". David may also fit this profile, although we would have diffullty calling him human. Still, his attributes do seem super human even though he can only simulate human emotions. Or maybe Weyland becomes or is the super human. There is also the Pandora angle. Zeus releases a woman, Pandora, on mankind. In one story, she opens a vessel that uleashes all kinds of pain and misery on mankind. We have vessels in Prometheus. So, maybe Vickers is Pandora. I can see her ordering David to open the vessel, which creates a plague on mankind.

are we still thinking of movie/ship names? im all for "jefferson starship". maybe the jockeys built their city on LV-RockNroll
