@Enceladus.....very interesting. Makes a hell of alot of sense. Could be why each end appears different. They connect to each other or some larger ship yet unseen. Cool, thank you.

I've posted this before - I think there are much larger ships that circle the universe. The horseshoes connect up and exchange dna /life forms from around the unvierse. Imagine an enormous mother ship with lots of horseshoes to drop off in smaller sections / orbits of the universe in very long term cycles.

I think that spaceship is just a little "part" of a large SPACE-HORSE... and that horse does have an ALIEN_HEAD... Br...br......brrrrrr....

I've done a little light aluminium engineering and some spot-welding,
but not a fully time-served person by any means. I'll send you my cv if you give me your email addy.

If you have the technology to beat gravity (if that is indeed what the "croissant" can do), then probably the shape reflects whatever scheme is needed to do so. Sounds a bit redundant, but that technology does not exist yet in real life, so anybody's guess is good, including H.R. Giger.

Thats a Good Point, pretty much like A Naval Craft that travels the Globe from which Apache Gun Ships are flown from.

If we're talking reality, its a terrible design. The most efficient design would be a cube. But cubes are pretty boring to look at. So for a si-fi horror movie making a space ship that looks truly alien with an odd shape makes sence. It gives you a sence that what your dealing with thinks and behaves in a manner so different from us that its terrifying.
