Prometheus Escape Modules

@ Chimera No that is Shaw jumping from the hanger doors opening up when the Derelict is about to take off. It is when she says " If we don't stop them now, there wont be a home to go back to" while standing on top of the hanger.

If you can see it, I thought that the illustration for the placement of the lifeboat module was very odd considering the line appears to be indicating the lozenge shape between those formidible Nuclear powered Ion Plasma engines. Now if that's the MODEL where do I GET one! Gimme!

You mean those, (and you have to be looking at the model at the link I posted, which does work I've tried it three times to be sure) four little square hatches on the undercarraige and four on the other side are the individual escape modules. That's what Theron ejects from in the trailer just before impact is it?

@Ghost, yes, Vickers gets in one of the individual escape modules but another module ejects too carrying someone according to the trailer IMO. Look at the very rear of the ship on the interior image of the original post. It is identified as ESC for Escape. The Exterior image states theat there is 8 individual escape pods as well as 1 complete Class D Escape module capable of landing and navigation on its own.

@Ghost, I see your image now. It does show that there is a Crew Lifeboet but it is concealed behind the engine so it make it decieving in a sense. The lifeboat is not on the rotating arm, it is attached to the very rear of the vessel.

@Chimera I saw the big one on the back of the ship I thought it was scary that it was positioned between the thrusters if they were pointed aft during flight, That would be a wicked takeoff in the ionized plasma wake, OUCHIE! You can see four hatches on the bottom of the ship on the undercarraige, one of them blows open releasing one of those individual escape pods during the trailer. I also saw Shaw jumping down from that open hatch, obviously the suit augments it's occupant and the gravity perhaps is a tad less than our own cuz...that's one hell of a jump. Oh, and I am not looking at the Verizon Diagram, I am looking at a FULL COLOR HIGHLY DETAILED model of the Prometheus, that's why I can see the hatches, antennae, engines, medical bay, etc.

My belief is that it was someone still on the ship that went to the CREW escape module prior to impact because in the trailer we see Shaw and Vickers running from the Derilict ship while it is impacting the ground. Also, what do you think could be in the bag he or she is holding??? Update: I am now under the impression that this has to be David jumping from the Crew Escape Module. If you consider the visuals of the jump and knowing that the gravity was near the exact same as on earth as a clue, it would be very difficult for a human to manage it without injury..... BUT, we do not know the outcome of the jump! It is very speculative as to whom this may be until someone gets a hi-res image and blows it up, even then it will probably just be a stuntman. But who do you believe it may be according to the storyline, what might they be doing and what do you think they have in the bag???

I don't know but considering the wind physically lifted her up off the ground and she didn't let go of that, my magic 8 ball says it's the jockey helmut.
