Upon her return to Earth, Shaw told her story of the events while on the Prometheus Mission and the planetoid/moon/Zues, whatever, to the world press. Immediatelyupon hearing the story had leaked, Weyland Corp. hides all evidence of the Prometheus Project plans relating to LV-223's wherabouts. The planet was renamed LV-426 in all star charts and databases so a mission could return to the newly named planet without scrutiny by world governments. Yutani purchase 50% of the stock in Weyland and are able to access the secret files of the Prometheus Mission. WY fund a new terraforming colonization mission to the now LV-426 to secretly return and try to gather all technology that may be left behind according to Shaw's account. [i]ALIENS prequel[/i]
