Curious: Why Would The Space Jockey's Assume The Prometheus Crew Is From Earth?

Many here assume that the Space Jockeys or Engineers know that we are from Earth when we arrive on the planet. Now how would they know we are from Earth? Apparently they haven't visited Earth in eons. I would assume that there are other beings in the galaxy with space travel capabilities and could just be cruising by the SJ planet and decide to stop for a few nights rest and decide to do a little exploring. Just saying.

I don't think they assume, I think they discover we are from earth. They either engineered us and know by looking at us, or they track where we are from, or they find out from someone they infected, or they have informants on board. There are lots of ways they end up heading for earth that do not begin with assumption. These don't seem to be the type of beings that make broad sweeping assumptions.

Safe? Of course he isn't safe, but he's good!

David probably gives it to them/it. Don't know about you, but to me David seems to be very naive and childlike. He probably assumes the Engineer to be a God, or something other inherently good being.
