A Thought Just Occured: Is It Possible The Cobra Hugger Impregnates Milburn ?

Think about it. I think there is a possibility it could. It entered his body and exited his mouth and it sure looks as though Milburn dies but what if they take his body back to the ship and his body incubates another creature left inside him by the Cobra Hugger? Any thoughts?

Well we dont know if the cobra is really "facehugger" ... maybe it really finish over the mouth or worst it enter by the mouth ( since we see something exiting by a mouth later ) to deploy "something".

that is a possiblity but there has been no clear evidence or still shots or gifs as they have been labled that clearly shows the organism coming out of his mouth it has all been speculation at this point some says it does and hits another crew member some say it misses. all we know is the cobraliena attacks and invades the suit everything else is up for grabs we dont know if thats millburn whose face in burning or if its him who is screaming in agony with black veins crawling through his face could be someone else

RS mentioned something about things that are able to eviscerate a lifeform in seconds. That audio-clip sounds like a whole lot of evisceratin' goin' on. I feel we're going to see a range of specimens, each with it's own party piece.

@Rissole i agree we will see a variety of different speices. Just watched the trailer again and as we see the cobraliena swin through the black substance its clear that one of the urns is leaking that fluid. Could it be that the SJ are just like us ....meaning they came to the planet in search of ....whatever and uncovered these things just as we have and they tampered with the urns and started what killed their exploration party and now we do the same. The credits mention surviving engineer maybe he explains the purpose of the planet and the urns and specimens inside...

Perhaps the Space Jockey' or 'Space 'Pilot' species in coming to Earth apparantly tens, hundreds of thousands even millions of years ago and in some way tampered with our genetics, altered us in such a waya as it took all this time till we reached space faring technology to go out and find them and during all that time just after they tinkered with our apparant genetics of the time we have somehow been 'cultured' and a blood sample is upon a petrie dish. our genetics have undergone slow permutations until we are a the level millions of years later where we are now going to encounter them again, the 'missing link' as-it-were is now within us and they have, in some way, been awaiting our arrival to come to them out of our human thirst to explore and find out things. They then can get the final piece of the gigsaw to whatever grand galactic puzzle they are trying to piece to gether with our help/involment somehow... Whatever secret they are looking to seek out is safely hidden and encoded within our own genes perhaps and now we have played ourselves right into there hands for what ever grand-plan they have for us Humans...

Remember that only 1.5% of our DNA makes us humans - the rest is all sorts of stuff such as ancient viruses etc http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-17809503 Who know what could be created by manipulating the other 98.5%!

I think it is trying to infect him with something, possibly with the small wormy creatures we see in Holloway's eye. Maybe Holloway gets infected while trying to help Milburn with the cobra hugger... I'm guessing Milburn is the one who gets acid in his face and then melts.

The mask looks a thought it is sucked back in and around him and his face almost like a decompression of air. sort of like evacuating all of the air creating a vacume around him and within him and that of his suit... Perhaps he is being transformed 'into' the Space Jockey or Space Pilot as I like to say a little more? Sort of being dare-I-say-it: Borgified! or Borgafied... As in the case for them, Borg nano-probes seep in and begin the assult upon the victim from within, deep-down at the genetic level. So perhaps Ridley Scott was not so much trying to copy that idea but tap into the concept of genetic alteration from within deep-down at the molecular level and the spin on that would be the Alien Xenomorphs infultration and incubation process form within as well... I just thought that so I wonder if you can extraplate upon any parallels I have raised...

It's difficult to tell, but whatever is exiting the mouth doesn't look 100% like the "cobra" before entering (if it even is the same thing). Maybe it needs a host, even if it's only a matter of moments, to evolve into it's next stage of life. In other words, it enters another life-form, ingests part of it or "steals" some DNA from the life-form so that it can go through a rapid metamorphosis and move on to it's next stage.

The MONOLITH: Since Milburn's helmet is made of some sort of metal and glass fibre it seems unlikely that it would melt around his face due to decomopression. Normally the glass would splinter and the metal would bent inwards in many shapes... Also there would be no decompression since there is air all around them; at some point they take off their helmets inside the temple in the trailer.

@ The M O N O L I T H Yes, the distinctiveness of Milburn's spleen was added to the cobra's own.

If that's all Ridley has got, a white cobra worm... probably the least scary thing I've ever seen in a supposed semi horror genre... that's really disappointing. I'm not getting why people are so excited at this point. I am glad he's being semi creative but Giger's stuff seems so overdone at this point.

I suggested male impregnation quite a few weeks back but then left it ... only due to no-one agreeing to 'that' theory lol ... But I still think it's possible ... doesn't neccessary need a womb to evolve just a place with some DNA? ... hell it worked for Kane :) ... And yeah a SH!T load of creatures I reckon ...
