Perhaps It Is Not the Space Jockeys…But WE…Who Are The Gods Now.

In an Alien recap on you tube Scott said the trick about a horror film is you know their all going to die, but you must make it interesting. My question is where dose love, females, sex and reproduction fall into this story. We have not seen a female SJ. The Titans are all engineered to be the same perfect beings. I don't see much of a wang under that biomechanical suit hehe. Shaws boyfriend impregnates her while tainted with the green slime?. Which I believe is what the SJ use to jump start life on planets. She gives birth to squiddy. We know the Xenos forcefully reproduce I think they get that trait from us.

wow those are great questions and I cannot answer any of them let alone the highly metaphoric question at the end, am in no position to and do not think I will even come from the right place to until it is too late and we have already had them answered by Scott.

@Sparty, I agree with your ending, but would be curious to know: does the SJ/Engineer die also at the end? Does it die at the hands of whatever Shaw gives birth to? Or does she give birth to the SJ/Engineer itself so in the end she's fighting her own kid? Your thoughts?

After all, R. Scott did say that there is a connection to the '79 ALIEN in the last 7-8 minutes of PROMETHEUS. Maybe it's not a Xenomorph appearence...but the start of a new SJ experiment/endeavor...not ampoules or urns...but familiar looking, "leathery objects...like eggs...or something." ~N

My view if you don't mind reading it is different from yours and it's this...We keep hearing about this Grand theme concerning human origins and our place in the universe but much more than that even with regard to the Space Jockey and Not Mankind and a focus on him and his race and the questions left over from the first film we all still have, who was he, where did he come from, how did he die? etc etc etc...Ridley has stated over and over that he feels, and I know he does because he has made it clear several times to all of us that Mankind has been terribly arrogant to think not just that we are alone in the universe but that we created anything at all to do with Mankind or the universe to begin with. it is for these reason and a few others unmentioned That I feel the Angle the film will take will be that which focuses it's attentions On The Space Jockeys as "G-d Like Wannabes" who find that dealing with us, is not the same as dealing with any other race they have encountered because we instinctively FIGHT BACK !!! we will not go down with out one and I think as EVIL as that race turns out to be we are going to finds out that for all our faults and all our frailties we are a species that has SURVIVED!!!!!! And despite the fact I think everyone is going to die in this thing, I think Rapace might end up being a symbol of this even in her own death and even if not, she will still be the One symbol I mentioned of Mankind's Enduring Survival through this freaked out ordeal and every other ordeal we ever encountered...and I also think some questions will remain and not be addressed until that 2nd prequel.

wow, I didn't think anyone ever would but I formed that from listening exclusively to Ridley's comments the past year year and a half or so. I think the best part in all of this going to be the discussions we all have after we have seen the film and reflect on our expectations and speculations and how they were met, exceeded, or never realized at all.

Two things on Neurion hypothesis .... 1) Scott now said that the Derelict on LV426 in there from ages ( so hes faithful with the fossilization theory from Alien ) ... so that would cut it off from the Prometheus timeline 2) Someone did ask Fassbender if in the plot there are references to the Prometheus ancient myth and his answer make me think of not . And that is confirmed by the fact that SJs gave knowledge to the humans of their own will ( as stated in another interview with the artistic designer ) .

Nope. The ship in Alien is not the same one as in Prometheus. It's ancient. Those eggs and the resultant xenos have nothing whatsoever to do with modern humans. Unless, of course, we get some sort of wormhole/time travel bullshit.

@ bk101 I am assuming it's all EVE's fault !!! The Jockeys were MONITORING the GARDEN OF EDEN when she picked off and then ate an apple from the tree of knowledge. THE jOCKEY'S SAID..."THAT'S iT, OFF WITH HER CLOTHES" so now having had a glimpse of the female human anatomy and form they are disgusted and say "cover her back up" and leave our system for many many years out of disgust. That's my story and I'm sticking with it! LMFAO !!!
