Project Promethus Revealed-TO DO WITH THE RESISTANCE SERIES OF VIDEOGAMES

Project Prometheus is a United States government-funded research on Gray Tech artifacts conducted by the Special Research Projects Administration. The project was officially funded by then President Harvey McCullen, who insisted that all ongoing studies of the Gray Tech components are classified above top secret.[1] Center of Gray Tech research was taken place in SRPA 7, located in Boulder, Colorado before it was relocated to SRPA 11, in Nevada's Black Rock Desert, after a fatal experiment with the Gray Tech components caused the deaths of five members of the research staff on January 4, 1953. In March 1952, a SRPA research team led by Dr. Fyodor Malikov in Station Genesis in Bryce Canyon, Utah discovered ancient components from Bryce Canyon's Chimeran tower, which Malikov's research team dubbed as 'Gray Tech'. Intensive study on the Gray Tech components was conducted under Project Prometheus which reveal that the components were far more advanced than the technology the Chimera had in their possession and speculated that these artifacts belong to another unknown alien race millions of years ago.[1] Specter Team was created for the purpose of finding the Gray Tech components before the Chimera do. Furthermore, the Cloven were also keenly interested in the components and had been amassing the technology far more than the Chimera and humans had in their possession; however, the Cloven seem to have no serious intentions for the components and instead used them as religious objects for their bizarre culture. Abilities The abilities that the objects have shown is far in excess of anything seen from the Chimera. Examples of the abilities include: • Communication and transfer of energy between gray tech objects milliseconds before the energy was actually sent. • The ability to connect and link up automatically to form new objects. • Extreme internal complexity. • Bursts of energy strong enough to blast through several floors of a building, Etc. It is unknown what will happen when the objects are fully combined. According to Intel reports, the combined effect of only a hundred of such Gray Tech components would have the ability to produce energy equivalent to over twenty-three billion kilotons of TNT. The weapon that these pieces would combine to form was dubbed by SRPA scientist Julia Cathcart as the "Prometheus Weapon." Daedalus was close on constructing the so-called Prometheus Weapon in Holar, Iceland with the large amount of Gray Tech components that the Chimera had acquired, and was stopped by Specter Team. The Prometheus Weapon was a theoretical weapon, credited by Dr. Julia Cathcart, that was stated to be powerful enough to wipe out all but the most primitive life on Earth. Its very existence was deduced by SRPA scientists to be the result of combining Gray Tech that the Chimera were deeply searching for, but it was never completed. It is believed to have ended the war between the Chimera and the creators of the Gray Tech, and speculated it is what buried the Chimeran towers. Daedalus was believed to have been attempting to recreate the weapon at the Holar Tower, but was stopped by SRPA forces.
