Perhaps the opposit, she works for Weyland and is making sure he gets the technology he wants to live on and become immortal, he did make a device to resurect his brain from the dead and we hardly see any Weyland footage, I beleive he is a large part of the story, everything else is there to throw us off. We dont know what the causes could be, she does seem to have a agenda, she hinted she is on the mission for personel reasons and she is a corpirate suit. But then she looks to be shocked when she is trying to escape, not a cool action you would see a Andriod do. And she seems concerned for the crew and the potential of getting any contaminating organism on board Prometheus. So i think the Andriod could be a red herring... Potentially that leaves to me. 1) She is Weylands Daughter or connected very close to her. 2) She is maybe next in line to benefit from Weyland Corp. 3) She is working for Yutani under cover. In a nut shell she is intetrested in the potential of what any findings to the orgins, creation of life or other knowledge this mission will find either for her own Agenda, the Agenda of a Company she is working for or for maybe something personel to herself be that her own life or Weylands.

No, & yes...I have had no choice but to embrace what Ridley is saying now about "canon" and thinking and analyzing too much, that all the answers are there already, you just have to dig properly and think about what we have been told. The Weapons part of the mission is funded by Yutani and Ridley has made it clear there is a 2nd android on board. There is a real good chance SHAW discovers Vickers is an android and kills her or de-activates her somehow near the end of this thing before her run in with the Xeno predecessor. I never said Vickers would be successful in Murdering both Weylands, but she is CLEARLY IMO THE WEAPON OF CHOICE put on board that ship by YUTANI herself...and IMO for just that very purpose, to eliminate the competition. No, Vickers is an Engineer left on earth since the dawn of time to steer humanity in the right direction for whatever plans that the Engineers have. She is there to deliver the message that it is time for them to return to Earth. Lol!

I think she just wants to get the hell out of there as soon as possible and report back to whoemever her employer is. She isn't really into the whole exploring thing from what I have seen. She gets into a lifepod which shows she is scared shitless and wants to get out of dodge. I think she will turn into a badass as one of two Ripleys in this movie and Ridley loves having powerful woman in his movies. If she is working for Yutani I am sure Weyland knows this and the crew would likely become suspicious at some point. What Shaw wants from this mission and what Weyland want from this mission will vary greatly. heck, maybe Vickers is suppose to get a sample and nuke the site therefore extinguishing earthlings views that SJ's or aliens exist and keep them in line on earth. Who knows!

Hold on Sparky I think you have muddled yourself up... 1. C. B. Weyland is dead, he died at the hands (or wrist-blades) of the Predator "Scar" in 2004, 2000 feet below Bouvet Island. His body was most likely destroyed by the plasma-fusion explosion of "Scar's" gauntlet device. 2. Allegedly Peter Weyland (only C. B. Weyland's son if you accept AVP as canon) is also dead. Although I personally doubt it? 3. There is nothing on weylandindustries.com that mentions whatsoever that the Yutani Corporation is involved with the Project Prometheus mission.
