Hmm could be a coincidence, but very interesting! To be honest I doubt it since the Weyland logo is based off of the Weyland-Yutani logo!

@Synthrimonger94 ... I would say the Weyland logo is not based on the Yuntani logo as they are NOT yet merged ... and the Weyland Logo was created way before this ... ;) ...

I agree with BD. If you're going to start a topic based on an image. Please post the image in the opening post. The tools to do so are right here in the 'Post/Reply Editor'. @Gem]n[: Thanks fore creating and posting that image. Just to let you know, however, the "Right click and select 'View Image' for bigger view" isn't available for all OSs and browsers. For me, "Open Image In New Tab" works in lieu of the missing 'View Image' option. What I typically do is put an "ENLARGE" link below the image which seems to work universally (I pull this site up on different devices(i.e. a Nook), OSs and browsers). Just something I observed. Thanks again for being a "kind fellow forum member"! ; )

see... i am obviously psychic and everyone should call my hotline for 3.99 a minute whilst i use a fake jamacan accent! call me now for ya free readin' ! but really thanks GEM, if it wasnt for nice people like you us impatient people would never get to see such awesome pics. the likeness is pretty damn uncanny i have to admit. the "wings" of the weyland logo only have to be angled slightly to look very similar to the "cobra creature". hail cobra! i am shocked that the person encountering it was smiling in the stills someone else posted. i like to study animals as a hobby (cough*obsession) and every creature ive seen that has a similar shape to this alien is not anyone i would like to keep anywhere near me. obviously a cobra came to mind but also reminds me of various types of leaches, internal parasites, lampreys, and hagfish. the fast and fluid motion of this creature looks more like an invertebrate to me.

@Gem]n[ I know what you mean but that's in the series canon NOT how the logos were made! The Weyland-Yutani logo was made 30+ years before this new one! That's were I base my ideas off of!

what i find hysterical in all this is that when I first saw that thing there was ONLY ONE thing it immediately resembled to me and since then I cannot see anything else but THAT...It is a smaller version AND AN exact replica just about OF THE HEAD OF THE IMPRISONED QUEENS' IN ALIEN RESURRECTION.

The thing just looks completely plausible to me. Love the tranlucency around it's edges in the shot where it's back-lit. Excellent creature effects.

there is a 2nd scene moment you cannot get from the screen caps in which that think "flick latches" itself onto and BITES that other guy Fifield I think it is...His Hand...and in a way it just kinda bites him like a cobra I guess...But still that thing looks exactly like the Black Heads of the Imprisoned Alien Queens in Rez.

I doubt very much the designers of this creature were thinking of the Weyland logo when they designed this. They were probably to busy figuring out how to make it work. And well, they succeeded!

Similar but not identical. The logo has 3 lines, while the Cobralien has like 5-6 lines on its "wings"...
