cloaked sj's or recorded message?

David might be replaying what the laser spheres recorded in that corridor. It doesn't appear to be happening in the star map room. It could also be a recording system throughout the compound that replays for David in that area.

Me too, and it seems l like what it would look like if it was simply recording the reflected lasers. I also saw a similar device that they use underwater in a legitimate TED talk. It's playback. They won't touch clocking in this movie I pray, as it will feed the AvP fans. And AvP needs to be forgotten and to die. Die and go to hell.

@db That revives the dead being's brain temporarily, it doesn't replay their last moments that I know of.

It's one of the oldest, most traditional themes in Science Fiction, from "Frankenstein" forward.

Those ghostly Sj holograms running through David will be [i]very[/i] creepy in 3D. If it's human scanner playback, why are demigods running away to hide?.....not very dignified. However, they are running, so something unexpected must have occurred.......doubt they'd be taken by surprise if a gigantic spacecraft entered their atmosphere. We've seen readouts of scanner data on holographic displays in the Prometheus, but the holograms we've seen which include Sjs look like they appear in the actual environment. I'm [i]guessing[/i] they're old SJ recordings of a past event.

If the SJ's had another biological "containment problem" in this movie, then I'm going to start thinking they should stop playing with the universe - they can't seem to do so without causing it to blow up in their faces. They're like the four stooges.

I too found it odd that SJ's were approaching David from previous trailers. If this was just an old recording being seen, then the view of the SJ's should not be so clear right ? A recording should loose clarity over time right ? Considering that this recording is millions of years of old, even with SJ's technology, some sort of distortion should happen. Any thoughts on this?

I think it's the ships playback tech. It's green like orrery and both scenes we have seem to have the same colour! What I don't understand is why both SJ and engineer use similar equipment yet vary physically. The older holograms have the SJ's chunky where's the new are slimmer and perhaps taller. Perhaps the engineers took over the SJ's turf! Every kings reign comes to an end!

@Silica They could be running to 'battle stations'. Remember their is a big black flying saucer in the film. It may be a hostile to the Jockeys.

It looks to me like a "playback" holo from a recording access by, I assume David.

hi all. In response to whether the S.J's are running "to or away from something", I think that they are running to something because they are more focused on looking forward and not checking behind them for any impending danger, what do think?

The Cast list has a listing called Ghost Engineers. Thus i think its simular to a Ghost Residual Haunting. i.e its just a recording of something that happened in the past.
