What If An Engineer Has To Sacrifice Themselves To Create A New Species?

I have noticed something actually........the hologram space jockys have longer trunks than the one we see in the chair. I propose that they are the original Jockys........but the chair jocky a new one......perhaps your sacrafice one to either kickstart a new species as you say OR kickstart the re-evolution of the original ones after being wiped out by....SOMETHING Plus.....perhaps in the hologram, it appears that 1 jocky is running away from the 2 behind it rather than towards something........perhaps they sacrafice him. Perhaps thats where the aztecs got the idea to sacrafice people to the sun god?

Im thinking that when terraforming earth, they sacrifice an Engineer in order to create human beings. That is why/how we are in their image.

The jockey in the seat isn't wearing a suite its the chair, when you sit in the pilot chair the helmet and suit cover the pilot and lock him in place. The jocky suits with long pipes are for when they are doing bio-mechanical research and need to be protected against the organisms and bacteria's they create in there science lab.

The black oily substance that is in the urns is an ever growing mutating lifeforce, it develops and grows into different things, if it comes into contact with a being it gets into that being and takes over there dna and mutates and destroys them from the inside out.

Interesting idea, and i guess we have to wait and see, but the Cast and mention of Sacrefice Engineer is a large clue that somewhere in the movie we will see some kind of Sacrefice by a Engineer.

I think the sacrifice engineer is the one we see running in the hologram sequence. I've always felt that sacrifice would play into this movie. When I think "uncivilized" society that is one of the first things that comes to mind....
